@thegreatasian My teacher once gave us a timeline/events pertaining to Native Americans through history and said that she wanted that as an essay on the exam.

May I ask what AMSCO is?

And does anyone have MC released tests from later than 1996?

I’m so nervous!!! I have a 93% in my APUSH class but the writing is going to kill me :(

AMSCO is the greatest thing since sliced bread. 99% of the reason I got a 5 last year.

@girlincross I have the book but haven’t really looked over it. I don’t know if I have time to go through the whole book. What do you think are the most helpful parts of the book?

Analyze how TWO of the following factors contributed to the development of American cities between 1865 and 1900:
→ Technology
→ Urban Politics
→ Class Divisions

On FRQs…some prompts say analyze TWO of the following blah blah blah. Is it ok to use more suggested topics (e.g. choosing three when it only says 2)

When you look at it from the perspective of readers, they want to be able to quickly find what they want to see to grade it (ie using two) without having to wade through superfluous information. I mean, it probably wouldn’t technically hurt, but it’d certainly annoy rather than impress readers that you can’t follow directions.

I scored 86% on MC yesterday. I’m so ready to take this exam. I’m just nervous for the FRQ a bit.

I did too! which test did you do? I did 2006 test. I got 69/80 in MC.

I’m not sure. I got the test from my friend and her teacher never said what year it was. That’s funny because I got 69/80 too.

Does anybody know how to study for the FR?

^ I’d just try to think of some major trends throughout each century.

I really wish I could get a 81% on the multiple choice, gahh!! I’m thinking about starting up a live stream group studying session, anyone interested?

Do you guys have any predictions on what the DBQ/FRQ will be this year? I thought it would have something to do with industrialization/labor but I think that’s been done before.

Maybe radical reconstruction or progressive era. That’s what I think.

@awflapjackz last year’s DBQ was on gilded age 1870-1900. I think this year’s will be native americans

As in colonial era? Or late 19th century?

I’d be interested in a study session. Currently doing about 80% on MC and 7/9~ on all essays. What really worries me is subject test, not AP test.

What is really worrying me is memorizing all of this *%#$ing information. I’m aiming for a 4, but I don’t know how I can possibly memorize everything for the DBQs… I can remember stuff in context (eg. I score 70%'s on the MC because the question itself gives context) but it is impossible for me to come up with outside info for the DBQ’s (sometimes even FRQs). I can’t remember years either (eg. I can tell you what the Mexican-American War is and how it happened but I can’t date it).

How do you all work around this problem?

@depressnyak I have about the same stats as you in terms of the AP test, but I took the subject test last week and thought it was extremely easy.

I’m also taking the subject test. I’m scared because I didn’t do so well on SAT II World History last year. As long as I get 720+ on SAT II USH, I’ll be happy.
