<p>They are not renewable, but BK employees can reapply and win again in subsequent years. This is from the foundation’s website:</p>

<p>“General Track and Employee-Based Track awards are not renewable; however, $1,000 Employee-Based Track recipients may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements and receive up to a maximum of four awards. Awards to General Track recipients are one-time only; past recipients may not reapply. (Note: Recipients of a $1,000 Employee-Based Track award may potentially receive a James W. McLamore WHOPPER™ or Regional award; if and when they receive one of these awards, they are no longer eligible to reapply in subsequent years.)”</p>

<p>Well, on the downside my daughter just heard she didn’t win a BK Scholar award, but within the past 4 hours we found out she did win a $500 Professional Women’s Award, a $1500 local award, AND a $20,000 merit award so we’re not feeling too bad about BK! Congrats to the winners!</p>
