<p>Does anyone listen to Bright Eyes? Because there’s a song by them called Four Winds which has a lyric that goes “something something poring over Sanskrit under Ivy League Moons” and it makes me think of Yale every time.</p>

<p>ohh and about writing at night. yeahhh my writing juice kicks in at about 1am. i’m usually knocked out by 2:30am. neverrr stayed up past 2:30am doing anything even remotely academic (staying up for a 24 hour Harry Potter marathon…or just being ■■■■■■■■ with your friends is a toootally different thing than staying up writing or doing hw haha nothing that uses my brain at least). I had this huge project due once…and I was working on it and by the time the clock said 2:30, I put everything down and went to sleep right on the floor. hahahha let’s just say I wasn’t there the first 2 periods the next day.</p>

<p>I don’t really have an accent. There are just some Canadian things that I say that make me sound as though I’m in ESL. For example, I say “grade 6” instead of “6th grade.” Things like that. But that doesn’t really have anything to do with an accent.</p>
<p>There were two occasions this past school year where I stayed up past 3 AM to do school work, and both were for two silly IB essays. Glad that’s over with.</p>
<p>I’m sure I have an accent compared to others, but I don’t have anything super outstanding. I can do a fantastic mock British accent as well as hardcore New York.</p>

<p>About dreams, TOTALLY normal (at least in my book). I had this dream a few months ago after I found out that they were adding 3 new residential colleges for the high school class of 2013 so they could raise their admissions rate to 25% (because being Yale, they’re the only ivy that feels consistently HORRIBLE that they have such a low admissions rate, whereas I’m sure Harvard revels in it). Anyways, my dream was that I was dropped off somewhere in nondescript, grungy New Haven with one or two friends and we were trying desperately to find out way out and into the more civilized area. Over the tops of the low apartment buildings and houses I could see the spokes of Harkness Tower, but I just could NOT for the life of me figure out how to get there. I spent the ENTIRE dream wandering around streets getting closer and closer, but never able to get over to the other side. During my wandering I walked past a construction sight with a big blue and white sign that said “NOT FOR CLASS OF 2010.” The site was presumably for the new residence halls.
Let me just say, that was one of my easier to decipher dreams :/</p>

<p>my sleeping pattern is screwed, so i usually fall asleep around 3:30 to 4 AM. it sucks. ibut, hey, last night i wrote all my short takes. i think they represent me well so i’m going to move on to others, although writing those were much fun. and I wrote out a why Yale, though it’s way too rough.</p>
<p>i’ve stayed up until 5 maybe four times for school work. usually i’m out by two.</p>
<p>Yale’s dating scene is more like non-existent according to my friends. More like hookin up. Fun too, I suppose.

<p>I was worried I’d have to take the TOEFL because my situation with languages is sort of a strange one, so I called the admissions office a few weeks ago. It was fun. I spoke to an admissions officer. She was really nice and cheerful, I can’t imagine her ever rejecting someone.</p>

<p>i dont THINK i have an accent except for maybe a classic southern drawl that creeps up on me(mostly in the morning when i’m simply tired and i really draw out my words haha)…and i saw yall. “you guys” just doesn’t come out as easily haha but when we were in NY, my friend and I were talking and this woman that was on the escalator in Bloomingdale’s with us turned to us and asked “where are you guys from?” haha. </p>
<p>i have dreams like that tooooo! except most of them, i have no idea what i’m doing. I’m just like walking around. Once, I got lost in New Haven and couldnt find my way back to Yale and then this guy in my economics class who constantly made remarks about how stupid he thought i was (i was just CONFUSED. ALL THE TIME. haha) ran up and said “you’re never gonna get back in” like a maniac or something.
