2014 SDSU Transfer Decisions - POST HERE!

Mine is working now and I was also hoping it was due to them accepting me, but still pending.

@janig3 I’ve heard that UCSD is where people go to study and then everyone goes to SDSU to party? Meaning SDSU has better parties? I don’t have a chance at getting into UCSD so it isn’t a deciding factor for me, but your daughter has an opportunity to decide what she really wants at least. Would she just commute since you’re from the area or would she move out? I’m from Huntington Beach up in Orange County. So I’m not sure either campus or city life in San Diego would be much different than what I’ve grown up around.

@christinedoz what does your btw mean on your response to me on page 27? I will be looking for room mates too most-likely if i’m accepted

@kaislinn91 dude SDSU was the most amazing campus ever. Had the same weather as OCC or CSULB. Theres palm trees and sun and a nice breeze and I don’t even need to say much about the girls. Just going from Long Beach to fullerton and comparing the weather just from going a bit inland is night and day. I hate the location of fullerton and the weather there and stuff cus its just hot. Having to always take the freeway sucks too. I would only take PCH to long beach. So its tough for me to pick because Fullerton is widely known as a stronger business school. Anyways the other people I know that applied to SDSU for marketing hadn’t even heard of the ADT’s either and that is why they just applied normally. If SDSU is where i seriously decide I want to go if I get in, then I’ll be a happy camper, but if don’t get in I’ll wish I had just applied normally like you have. I mean I don’t get how they were able to tell the regular business transfer prospects before us ADT people when we were all told we would get priority and blah blah…

@jayb2324 I will be looking for roommates off-campus most-likely if I’m accepted.

@justadude91cs yes I am absolutely dying more than normal right now each day. ugh I’m gonna hate everything for a while if I don’t get in after this damn wait.

@hbloc714 I’m honestly really disappointed. I think I built SDSU up in my head to be this great school, but I visited it today and I wasn’t impressed at all. Yeah, the weather was great, but the surrounding area is pretty rundown and there was this bum yelling at my mom and I lol. All their grass is dead, and I mean it’s not a big deal but it just factors in to how nice it looks or not. The new union building was pretty nice, but honestly that’s about it. I took a look at the business administration building and there’s no way I want to take classes there for 2 years. It definitely needs to be remolded. Only way I would choose SD is if I switch my major to a different college besides business. The building was a huge turn off and it’s really small, especially for it to be Educational and Business Admin building. I’m not sure how they fit all the classes in there. I’m choosing Cal Poly Pomona over SDSU now. Good luck on getting in! It does have it’s pros, but in my case I chose my other school.

@hbloc714 “Btw” means By The Way

And I agree with what you said about SDSU accepting regular transfer applicants before ADT people, since we were told we have “priority consideration.” It makes me wonder if they are taking up seats and we will be left with what’s left…

@kaislinn91 I totally disagree, I love the character of the campus. I think it’s beautiful. Even if it isn’t your aesthetic, what does it matter what the building looks like? You’re there for the degree, not the architecture and landscaping. My husband goes there currently and he has classes all over, not just the engineering building. In fact this semester he has none there.

@alexisNS, oh I did like the campus, it definitely has a nice beach vibe and great weather. I’m just pulled between two schools and feel cal poly pomona is a better fit for me after seeing sdsu’s campus.

“You’re all accepted… April fools, that’s why we told you to wait. Bye now.” -SDSU.

Good luck and let April commence!

It’s April 1st everyone! My spring break consists of anxiously awaiting an admissions decision. Good luck!! :)>-

Has anybody heard anything today? I can’t log in.

I can’t log in either. I was really hoping to hear back today.

I can’t log in too, but I checked earlier this morning and it was still pending. Keep positive!

I can log in now but it still says pending. I’m losing my mind waiting for an answer lol

I think we will definitely hear from them this week ! The wait is killing me .

Why is it taking so long 8-| !!!?

@hbloc714 She is going to live on campus because the drive is brutal from where we live. She chose UCSD so there is one more spot for someone on the wait list for SDSU. SDSU is such a fun campus, and the public transportation is the best for getting around without a car. It’s pretty flat so you see a lot of beach cruisers. It was a hard decision for her, but she went where she felt more comfortable. If they hadn’t given away the good apartments to the freshmen class, she may have chosen SDSU, as it’s been her dream school for many years. I’ve heard from my niece who went to SDSU that UCSD has big parties too, but my daughter is not a party girl (yet). Good luck!

Pendddddddddddddddddddddddddddddinnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

So I just spoke with the admissions office and they said that due to backlog work that is coming in they don’t anticipate having decisions out for a couple more weeks. He said the goal is the end of next week but it may not happen. They said that if the decisions are made after Easter they will extend our May 1st deadline. This is ridiculous. My husband found out on the 5th of March…

What is up with that ■■■■■■■■ with this so called “degree with a guarantee” and PRIORITY CONSIDERATION/ADMISSION when really we are getting put last on the to-do list.
I’ve been patient enough to wait another month but a couple more weeks? ■■■ and what if I end up getting denied? I waited an additional two months just to get a rejection? Sorry for my vent but I am beyond annoyed now. If I had known people with ADT would be treated like a burden, then I might’ve gone the regular transfer route because those people found out literally the first week of March. This is BS. I hope we find out sooner, for the sake of our (mine) sanity.

Seriously I’m so pissed ! I feel like I’ve been waitin forever . I also have an ADT ,& I got a reply from long beach the first week of March . Maybe I should just save my spot over there . They keep feeding us ■■■■■■■■ and delaying everything ,for what reason ?

I honestly just died a little inside.

I don’t have ADT and I’m still waiting too
