2014 SDSU Transfer Decisions - POST HERE!

@alexisNS that is for students that are academically disqualified not ones who are denied admission, so yes you totally can take it at SDSU through Open University. I know what you mean about wasting a year though, I don’t know if I should commute to LA from SD and just finish my degree or wait another year and pray I can get into SDSU next year… sigggghhhh.

@alexisNS, definitely keep us posted. You may want to try going into admissions personally. I’m not sure if it would help, but showing a lot of interest definitely won’t hurt your case.

Shockingly denied!

AA-T from sbcc
local …from san diego
3.8 GPA
All classes completed
Leader in clubs
Lots of community service
Internship in major
work

hmmm… all I can think of is that with all the majors being impacted, there were maybe just a few spots in the major. I thought I was pretty much a sure thing there. :frowning: disappointed. I wish I knew how their process worked :(

@moniiique‌ I am weighing out that decision as well. I may just wait another year. I’m already old. hahah but SD to LA is going to be ROUGH. Just saying. I live in between the OC and LA and it’s a trek…

@alexisNS‌ Handle. Hopefully you can be the one of us that fights and wins. Go for it.

@5nonnegotiables‌ Same thing here. I’m a psychology major with AA-T, 3.8 GPA, extracurriculars and community service. But at least I got into UCSD.

Utterly ridiculous that students with 3.6+ GPAs are being turned away while there are those with <2.5s being accepted, in no way are SDSU’s admission reflecting student abilities this year. I knew I was borderline with a 3.33, though I’m still holding out hope that my extenuating circumstances will warrant a reversal in my appeal, but I feel really bad for those of you who obviously put in an amazing amount more effort then many others who are getting accepted, yet you’re still getting denied.

There were six schools on CSU mentor still accepting applications for the fall. Humboldt and CSU Bakersfield offer art history, so I applied to both.

@justadude91cs‌ Oh believe me I know how much of a pain SD—LA would be, it is the LAST thing that I want but I turn 24, next Friday, and I feel like its now or never!

@psysawsum‌ when did you get your UCSD decision? I am also a Psych major and waiting for them to give me a decision.

@moniiique‌ I feel ya. I am 23 as well. I just don’t wanna stay local. I have been rejected by my top two schools so I may wait it out and get the GPA up -__-

@alexisNS what schools?

My son was denied for Business-General also. 3.8 gpa, out of area. He was missing 1 class for the as-t but had everything else. Really bummed. Congratulations to anyone lucky enough to get in (seems nearly impossible these days).

@alexisNS‌ I have a friend who transferred to Humboldt this semester for the same major as you and he says it is great. Every professor is hands on and loves what they do. So you should definitely apply there. Goodluck!

AA-T COMM (Applied)
GPA 3.57
OC
Denied and devastated

@moniiique‌ I received it almost 3 weeks ago.

Thanks @nthoside‌ , I’m not sure how enrollment would work since my husband has to stay in SD, maybe they offer a couple online classes.

You are all still young, I’m 28. I’m fading fast Haha

@tyblackca‌ Where did you complete your units?
