2014 Spring Transfer Thread

I have no idea. I’m making my boyfriend call in and ask them though. I’ll let you guys know what they say.

I might call the office if decision do not get posted tomorrow

I wish they’d understand that people need to find a place to live…

They told my boyfriend that decisions will be posted between November 15th-November 30th.

Still doesn’t make it any better. -_-

Soo stop checking your statuses! We still have some more waiting to do as if 5 weeks isn’t already enough.

Dang not until Friday?

Oh well. Thanks for checking with them Llama.

15th…In 2011, they released the decision in the first week of November! So there’s a huge number of applicants?

No problem!

I don’t think that really makes a difference since that was from 2011. 2013 applicants started to receive decisions around the 13th so I don’t think that there’s a HUGE number but just in the middle. They did say we will receive decisions in Mid November so that could mean anything. Just hold off until Friday!

Well, middle of the month certainly means around 15th…but still, the anticipation is torturing me.
Because I also have to decide whether to drop a class or not depends on the decision.

Might want to check your status guys! JUST GOT IN!!!

well. Congrats djdizzled. Mine is still in review. what’s is your major? stats?

Congrats djdizzled!!

I got into the College of Education as an Exercise Science Major!

Transferring from Alamo Colleges
3.85 GPA
58 credits
No SAT/ACT
Air Force Veteran
1 Recommendation from my Calculus teacher
2 well written essays
a few volunteer activities mostly military stuff (Booster Club, DUI Prevention program, and some deployed awards)

Idk if these are the stats you guys want, but let me know if you guys want anything else!

Good Luck!

Thanks, djdizzled. I’m happy for you.

Congrats Dj!

I still have nothing on mine. Oh, the dreadful wait.

Congrats!
At least we now have a sign that the office is starting to roll out the decisions

Been checking myStatus every day, never posted my stats on here, but this will be my third try getting in, I’ve got my 30 hours and currently am almost a 3.5 all hours coming from various community colleges. However, my transcripts will show that my GPA shows an obvious outlier. Out of my 30 hours I have all A’s two B’s and one F that came in an “easy A” class that I was doing well in, it came on a technicality on the last day of the semester and I had an unhelpful, misunderstanding professor. I chose not to disclose this in my application but other wise I have two well written essay a good rec from a family friend, I went to a good private school and scored a 2010 on my SAT. I applied to be a history major in the COLA and Im now asking for the first time for some people’s opinions on how my complicated situation might turn out. Good luck to all

congrat dj!!! hopefully the rest of us will be hearing back before too long. i’m also getting concerned abut housing. and by concerned i mean i have no idea what i’m going to do.

Congrats, I’ve been checking every day and haven’t gotten a response yet.
I’m applying to Undergraduate Studies so I can internal xfer to Cockrell. Have a 4.0 with 44 credits taken at ACC. This waiting is starting to become unbearable lol!

Jdouglas111: COLA is the easiest college to apply to, and a 3.5 is good enough to be accepted. I currently go to UT and transferred from Texas State last semester into College of Communication.

Ps my backup major was History in COLA! Good luck!

Hey everyone. I am also a Spring 2014 applicant. I’m currently a freshman at Texas State, and applied to UT Austin with 42 dual credit hours. I applied to the College of Natural Sciences (Computer Science) as my first choice major, and UGS as my second choice major. My overall GPA is 3.24 (terrible). I had one letter of recommendation from an engineer who works at NASA’s JSC in Houston.

Now, I called the Office of Admissions today, and the lady said that most decisions will be rolling out within this next week. I encourage all of you all to call and ask about your individual application. She asked for my UT EID, and said that the admissions committee commented on my application saying that they need to see how I do in Calculus II (in progress), which means I probably won’t hear back until late December.

If you do decide to call, be prepared because I’m pretty sure that they’ll tell you whether or not you got in (assuming they’ve already made a decision on you). Yes, it’s scary knowing that you might get rejected through the phone, but they may also tell you that you’re in. When you call, tell them that you’d like to know the status of your application.

Good luck to everyone, and I hope to see you all in the Spring! I really hope this helped, and remember that we’re all in this together.
