2014 Spring Transfer Thread

Same situation for me, still waiting on whether i get accepted/ denied. :(

Wombar, I am so sorry. Best of luck to you.

My status changed from “complete/late” to “complete/on time” - so my appeal was approved. I guess that’s one hurdle down. Otherwise, still in limbo.

Breathe everyone, make yourself a nice cup of tea.

Cs5569: unfortunately, yes that Econ grade will most likely count as transferable because it is a course offered by UT Austin. It doesn’t matter your Major, if it is compatible with UT’s course catalog and will count as credit, then it most definitely is included. They put emphasis on your total GPA, however so don’t freak out too much!

Lol they sure are taking their time this year. 19 th already and not one CNS decision yet.

@Crew808 - It seems like the same time frame as the Spring 2013 admission process. Same schools knew earlier, and it’s like they saved CNS for last. It’s a very competitive school to get into, and so if you haven’t heard back yet you’re in good shape (so far). I believe a few had posted here or elsewhere that they had received a denial letter already.

I applied in Spring 2013 and I didn’t receive a denial until the first week or so of December. Hopefully they have more spots this time around!

@wannabeatut

That’s very reassuring. I hope that’s the case. Hopefully we’ll get to hear back by Friday or early next week. Good luck to you and me.

Well safe to say another day without any decisions.

Maddening really.

So I’m thinking about placing a deposit for housing already. I had a 3.7, and now I’m up to a 3.81, so I feel pretty secure that I’m gonna get into CNS (since they’re average is 3.61), and I don’t want to wait until December 20th (at the earliest!) and not have a place to stay if I get in.

Has anyone heard back from either COLA undeclared or UGS? Or know any news about them?

Nope still in review

Please PM me if you’ve found a place in West Campus and you’re in need of more roommates.

Has anyone heard anything from COLA Asian studies major? this wait is seriously killing me…

I applied for COLA econ and UGS. I haven’t heard anything yet, but somebody did post earlier that he got accepted into COLA econ.

CNS hears back last, doesn’t?

Note that higher gpas often get in first

I was figuring that they go high gpa goes first and then they see what spots are left over

The Hunger Games: UT Austin transfer edition. lol.

mine is still in review for COLA and UGS… it feels like they had a large pool of students this time.

actually, when i talked to an evaluator two weeks ago, she told me this is the smallest pool of applicants for the fall or spring since 2003, which is a little over ten years ago. They only had around 1,900 applicants and the majority of those are students that applied with less than 30 hours and most of them dont even turn in another transcript whether it was due to not getting the right GPA or time constraints. but yeah, this is actually one of the smallest applicant pools. good luck everyone! I’m still waiting on COLA and UGS

Is there anyone else waiting on COLA anthropology with 30+ hours? I know they started releasing decisions but I haven’t heard. I’m impatient :(
