@dprice386 Nice - Congrats!! I interviewed with them for reg decision. Accepted to Stanford for early action. Interviewing with Yale & Penn tomorrow. I am stressing about having to Skype my interview. I am I Nor Cal and can not get to L.A. - would rather do it in person!!
Disagree about Skype thing. More than half do their interviews via Skype. Had 7 friends make finalist last year. All Skyped. All made scholars.
I clearly said all of those things. Just that Skype is prone to awkward technical difficulties, which is very true.
How do you know whether an in person interview is an option? Is there a list of cities? On the Skype interview sign up sheet, I did not see any option for in person interviews.
DS14 is a scholar. The week of Coca-Cola interview, he had to attend an out of town college scholarship interview. So he signed up the Skype time and interviewed in his hotel room. It was a little nerve racking as I wasn’t sure if the hotel internet connection was going to hold up. But everything worked out.

@MiraD1 I think everything is Skype this year, although it’s possible that other people who were in areas where in person interviews were possible had other options.

@smartypants57 @APersonsHistory hey guys, when I was signing up for/ updating my interview times, it said sign up for the 12th if you wish to do a Skype interview, and the 13th if you’d prefer in person. I think locations are coming out later.
@smartypants57 @APersonsHistory this is quoted directly from the finalist portal: You may register for an interview by using VolunteerSpot.com, choosing either a Skype interview on Friday, February 12 or an interview in person on Saturday, February 13 at The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, GA. Regional Finalists will not have a greater advantage using one interview method over another.
@MiraD1 do you live in Georgia? Perhaps people got links to different portals based on where they live and such. Because you can see the quote from my finalist portal in my previous comment.
