Same. Not moving on.
If any of you who made it to states and nationals still use College Confidentials, would you mind posting your stats for me to look at? I want to see what last year’s bunch was like so I have an idea of what my competition from this year will be like. By stats I mean GPA, test scores, leadership roles, work experience, community service, and honors/awards. Thank you
@kayleighbrown I agree! That would be greatly appreciated! I submitted exhibits so hopefully I’ll be ok and met the president of my Elks lodge in person since I literally turn in my application yesterday when the lodge was closed XD.
@BlackHuntress I’m not sure if you have seen the guide that has been shared in the past on how Elks evaluates the applications: http://www.elks.org/SharedElksOrg/enf/images/EvaluatingBrochures.pdf
Many times Elks gives money at local, and regional/state levels regardless of whether or not you are invited to the Chicago trip. Students making it to the National level that are not invited to Chicago are also given money as well. Also, at least in the past, they evaluate the male applicants separately from the female applicants awarding equal numbers of scholarships to both male winners and female winners at each level.Overall, it seems to me that Elks has been quite generous to many people at many levels.
Thanks! This was really insightful especially since I saw that they graded based on points but didn’t understand how that was initially possible… Thank you for this!
