@ishields7 yeah the adt doesn’t apply… Which is why I find it so odd that they have us waiting. Do you have your adt as well?
I just got that email too. I am transferring from Miracosta for economics. Do you know if that apply to me? What major are you?
@Peter0001 It applies to you
Here is the link http://arweb.sdsu.edu/es/admissions/transfers/associate-transfer.html

SDSU just sent me this video
So anyone with those majors, regardless if they are from a cc, 4 year, has an associate degree, etc. Will have their response by early april….
I’ve waited so long already. but i does give me more hope
I too have received this e-mail, would of been nice to know earlier so I didn’t compulsively check the WebPortal for the past 10 days. Early April it is!
I don’t think Miracosta offers Associate Degree for transfer for economics? Does it?
@gh0stii no it isn’t offered for single subject teaching at my school. I’m just worried that since its attached to English we will have to wait
@peter0001 i got an email
@engineer619 i got an email… i live in escondido
Hahaha, do you think they sent out an e-mail because people kept calling in and asking?
@ishields7 yeah, that’s what I think will happen unfortunately. We’ll just have to wait and see
@ieatsushi probably… That’s what happen in the last forum. I just don’t see why they have to make use wait when everything is automated pretty much
Hi everyone. I just got into SDSU today along with the congratulations email they sent me this,
" Please keep in mind that you must complete, with grades of C or higher, all course work indicated on your application as in progress or planned, and maintain your reported overall grade point average."
The part that worries me is the “maintain your reported overall gpa” I applied with a 3.4, got all Bs winter semester now a 3.3 and will probably most likely get a C in my calculus class (5 units). This will bring my gpa down obviously so what does that mean for me?
I applied to the business school and I think the minimum you could have to apply is like 2.9 or 3.0, something like that.
Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum and I just got the email as well. I’m a psychology major but I’m coming from an out of state college so the AD-T doesn’t even apply to me. Does this still mean I won’t hear back from them till April since my major is on that list?
@gh0stii
Hello, I got the same email a couple of minutes ago but the thing is Im just a regular transfer student on my cc theirs not AA-t or AS-T so Im panicking wright know !! Are you transferring with one of those??
@lbstudies I checked out your link and I’m a little confused, maybe you or someone else can help me.
I applied to transfer for my BA in Social Work and was under the impression that I qualify for TAG, but this through me off:
Majors Not Eligible for Local Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG)
There is no guaranteed admission under the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) for any major for which there is an SDSU-approved Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T/AS-T degree).
The TAG applies to most other SDSU undergraduate programs, with the following exceptions:
Athletic Training
Dance
Music
Nursing
Social Work
Television, Film and New Media - Production
Theatre Arts - Performance
I’m so confused now… So is it saying that SW doesn’t apply to TAG? Does this mean I need to get an AA-T/AS-T?
Help! :((
" Admission decisions will not be made until early April for transfer students who applied to a major for which there is an SDSU-approved Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T/AS-T degree). For a list of majors, please visit the SDSU’s Associate Degree for Transfer website."
@uclahopeful13 So yes I believe you won’t hear back till early April.
Im coming from another state school (and i probably won’t get in because of it) and I don’t have a AA-T or and AS-T degree so we are in the same boat. My degree is on the list as well
@eugenius310 I’m not coming from a community college so I probably don’t know as much as other people do.
However, unfortunately it does say Social work does not apply for the TAG.
Does your cc have an AA-T/AS-T for your major??
So I’ve finally decided to join the the discussion after obsessively checking both my portal and this forum haha
Major - Communications
Location -In state, NorCal
GPA -3.6
AA/AS-T- Communications AA-T completed by spring 2015
Status-Pending
I just received the same email letting us know we won’t find out about the admission decisions until April, which now all we can do is patiently wait.
The anticipation is killing me, I’m wishing everyone luck who is still pending & hang in there!
@gh0stii The only hypothesis I can come up with is that 1, they assume from all the information from all the applications that are ADTs they will get in and use those numbers to determine who they can offer admission to lower priority applicants to right now; 2, once the deadline has passed and everything is verified they can determine who will qualify for admission, as well as those who have no intent to enroll and again offer admission to lower priority and wait-listed applicants.
That’s the only plausible explanation I could come up with.
