2015 SDSU Transfer Decisions

Did any of you send in an e-transcript? How long did it take for it to show up on your web-portal?

@raychill89 I think the applications were forwarded because I know that CSUCI is still a relatively new school (about 15 years old) so they are trying to get their enrollment up, I think the acceptance rate for CSUCI is like a high 60 percent. My husband is from the area, we were just talking about how there are many CSUs and UCs to choose from in the LA and Ventura county areas and San Diego only has UCSD and SDSU, which is probably why a high priority is placed on local transfers.

@815gab I sent mine in as soon as grades were posted on the 1st and it took a day to process and then another day to be received and shown in the webportal.

@ieatsushi They definitely were forwarded. I received several emails from other CSUs saying they received my forwarded application from CSUSM when I was denied admission there. That’s what the “guarantee” is though with the ADTs…it just means that you will for sure get into one of the CSUs whether it’s your school of preference or not.

@815gab I also submitted my final transcripts as soon as grades were posted and less than 24 hours later, I checked the webportal and it was received by SDSU.

@raychill89 was that after the first? My grades were posted before the first but reg-e said that grades won’t be available until the first, so I queued to see my all of academic history and my grades for spring didn’t show up, so I figured they may not be available for transcripts and I called to see if I could send in my transcript because my grades were posted but it wasn’t showing up in the full unofficial transcript and they said it was best to wait until after the first. On the first, I pulled my academic history and sure enough the spring grades were there.

@ieatsushi Yep I ordered mine in the evening on June 2nd and SDSU received it in the morning on June 3rd. I called Mesa College to confirm this before I ordered my transcripts but basically I was told that as long as grades show up in e-grades, they will be on the official transcripts. When I called SDSU upon noticing they had received my transcript, they confirmed that it had my final grades from the spring semester. I was definitely worried they weren’t going to be on there since grades were posted soon before I ordered them.

Okay, I read above comments and I guess I was in the same situation. So, my major I was accepted into was the PRE- Environmental Engineering. I had to maintain my overall GPA as well stated in the acceptance letter. It says 2.5 GPA so does that mean on my transcript has to be above 2.5 after Spring grades officially entered???

Hey everyone, haven’t been on here since i was accepted, but i lurk here every once and while. my question for you all is in your webportal, does it say you need to send in your high school transcripts? Mine didnt say it before but now it does and i was wondering if anyone else now has to send them in as-well?

omg!! my appeal just got accepted!! cant wait to join you guys at sdu!
I want to live on campus. which is the best option for transfer students?

@hazels25 Congrats!!! :slight_smile:

@gh0stii On the SDSU Transfer Students for Fall 2015 Facebook group, someone posted on there asking the same thing. Best bet is to call admissions to find out. A couple of others had the same thing happen in the web portal but no answers as to why it happened were posted.

@gh0stii My highschool transcript section changed to required last week. When I contacted SDSU about the possibility that it wouldn’t arrive in time, they reassured me that it won’t effect your admission status. They just need your highschool transcript prior to you graduating from State and set the required date on your webportal in hopes that students would send them in sooner.

hey guys  is anyone still looking for a roommate?! and/or is anyone staying at blvd63?

Hi guys,
Have any of you taken the WPA?

I took it last fall.

@alexisNS how did you do on it?

@815gab I took it June 6th. Unfortunately, I got an 8 which means I have to take a writing class to fulfill the GWAR requirement and I have always been a pretty decent writer with straight A’s in all of my English/writing classes. Sucks, but it is what it is. Could have been worse! If I had scored lower, I’d have to take 2 classes. I thought about retaking it but honestly, I hate standardized tests so I’m just going to stick with my original score.
