Hi, Information systems.
GPA: 3.68
I live in San Diego.
I went in they said that people with ADT are only competing with those applying in general business and not anyone with an emphasis.
So since that only applies doe general business, do you guys think we still qualify for tag?
Major - Hospitality and Tourism
Location - Long Beach
GPA - 3.7
AA/AS-T- AS-T in Business Administration
I have been accepted to three CSU’s - SF, East Bay, And Fullerton, just waiting on SDSU and the waiting is killing me! lol I have my CSU-GE’s done, but I am missing 5 major courses. My school hasn’t had a articulation agreement with SDSU since 2013, because they haven’t sent many students there, so they basically stopped articulating between each other. I tried to remedy this for about a year but no immediate help from SDSU or my school, ive been told “there still working on it” since last year. However, I have taken courses similar to those, but not specifically hospitality, because my school doesn’t offer it as a major. So I am not extremely confident, but you never know !
@SDSUHopful4 May i ask you when did you find out about Fullerton? I applied too, but my status still hasnt been updated… Have you taken their ELM and EPT placement testes? Thanks
@SDSUHopeful4 Oh, I see. I’m a transfer too. Haven’t heard from them (Fullerton) yet though. I just assumed I’ll get the decision sometimes in March like from SDSU. Meh, just need to wait and wait, more and more.
I was denied today from CSUSM as well! The local ADT priority transfer is screwing me for other schools so I’m praying that SDSU accepts me since I’m local! Definitely freaking out haha
I emailed CSUSM in response to my initial denial email asking if my GPA wasn’t competitive enough (3.67 - 3.77 with bump) or if it was solely based on me being non-local and that was this was the automatic response I got:
"Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry for Admission information at CSU San Marcos.
Please note: We are experiencing a high volume of email inquiries resulting in a timely response to you.
Please refer the FAQS answers below for quick assistance:
· Impaction information for transfer applicants: California State San Marcos notified non-local area transfer applicants that they were denied due to impaction. Unfortunately, CSUSM does not have the capacity to admit any Non-LAA transfer applicants for Fall 2015…"
Ugh. This waiting game really blows. I am seriously really counting on SDSU. If I am denied there, I will be utterly crushed.
