@Ruppie I think the difference between them is that “Waitlist” means you were offered to be on the waitlist while “Pending Space Availability” means you have acknowledged to be on the waitlist. My guess is that “Pending Space Availability” is what we’re gonna see until the end of May or early June.
When I open up my web portal it just laughs at me…
Applied in October last year for the fall semester but my web portal shows the same thing for the last few months.
Does anybody know if you can find out where you are on the waitlist or how they organize the list?
I was wondering the same thing, I would imagine it would have to do with your application number but that is just a guess.
Has anyone else send a letter of appeal to them?
@mlusikyan I called them about that and the good news is that it’s not a standard waiting list that goes in numerical order. That’s all they told me though, as they wouldn’t specify how they choose to take people off the waitlist.
@Francisco1 VERY risky move to do that. By sending an appeal, you’re basically telling admissions that they didn’t do their job right.
UNLESS someone has substantial new information to tell them (that wasn’t part of their app) then theres no point to it. Appealing for the sake of saying that they thought they should be admitted isn’t going to cut it.
I called today too. They said that the waiting list is organized by those with higher qualifications first. He also said that we should start hearing back by the end of the month for waitlist results
@mlusikyan End of the month? As in end of April? The email tells me early June.
I’m also waitlisted at another CSU and the official date for waitlist over there is June 1st.
@projectc4 Yeah, the guy I spoke to said late April, early May. I know the email and website said June. Maybe the guy didn’t know what he was talking about or maybe he said it by accident. I hope he knew what he was saying
@ProjectC4 @mlusikyan i think the way its going down is that currant accepted applicants have until the end of April to accept or deny the position. So I’m thinking that by the end of April is when they will first have their list of available spots and start distributing to the wait list. The long time discrepancy (end of April/ beginning of June) is that they probably have to do it in many waves to fill the wait listed spots. Imagine how many people don’t accept CPP, then imagine how many people that got wait listed go and pick their primary or secondary option. I can imagine for some majors Then they have to also wait a given amount of time for the Waitlisters to accept the offer. Their just giving themselves enough of a time window to get everything done.
Anyone know the probability of getting in once you have been wait listed. I know it varies on a lot of things but do you typically have a high chance? And do they go by who got wait listed first or by the major?
@collegetoday I cant tell you the chance of getting in when you got waitlisted, but I can tell you that it’s not a traditional waitlist. What I mean is that it doesn’t go in numerical order where those who get on the waitlist first get accepted first.
Think of the waitlist as a 2nd wave of admissions to the campus; they look at your qualifications compared to others on the waitlist and choose the better students.

WAITLISTED! Logged in half an hour ago expecting it to still say ready for decision. It now says waitlisted but… I haven’t gotten an email to be able to accept it, and I tried logging into the email the school gave me but I think it’s down? It keeps giving me an error so I can’t access it…
AA-T complete once this semester is over in may but I choose the wrong major on the application for my AA-T to be counted towards it… go figure, the only csu that didn’t accept my AA-T I at least didn’t get rejected right away. Oh well, if I can get into CPP I’ll be one happy camper. I thought I was going to end up having to do ASU online courses lol. Would much rather do CPP.
Has anyone else been waitlisted for communications? I’m really really really hoping I get in… This is my last chance to go to a csu lol.
Edit: Just as I submitted this I got the email! I have accepted the waitlist and I hope to hear back soon.
CS Waitlisted, what the chances to get in?
Status changed from Waitlist to Pending Space Availability. Does this mean anything significant?
