Has anyone heard from UCLA Alumni scholarship for transfer? I saw that their application reviewing period if from May 6th to 13th so I am just wonder anybody got anything.
I got an email 50 minutes ago saying I was selected!

@Npham95 @squishyboba Congrats, guys. I am on the same boat here, been checking my e-mail for regent scholarship like crazy. So happy that I was selected for Alumni Scholarship, it really lifted my mood!
On their website, they have community service requirements for continuing students. I was wondering what we have to do as newbies in the program… Let me know if you guys have any info!
@squishyboba @Npham95 By the way, we could do a little “College Confidential Alumni Scholars meet-up” once we get to UCLA, lol! That will be cool! Are you guys attending summer session, or summer institute?
@davedavid from what I found online, we have to volunteer 30 hours each year and attend one scholarship event each year. It seems very manageable. So excited!
@davedavid Yea that sounds like a pretty good idea lol! Do you guys know anything about their “additional grants will be provided based on financial needs?” Does it work like Regents? just out of curiosity 
idk actually. But I am interested in that info too cause’ I still have unmet financial need. we should contact the alumni scholars association to find out… @Npham95

Also has anybody’s financial aid not updated to show the scholarship? I know someone reported theirs updated and showed $2,000 but mine hasn’t. /:
@LuckyName So you contacted them? What did they say in regard to that? I have a pretty large loan T.T!
They haven’t responded lol. I only contacted them today. @npham95 did your financial aid update with the scholarship?
@LuckyName LoL! Sorry i was a little hasty! no not at all! i believe we supposed to receive an email saying that our ePAL has been modified.
@LuckyName No, my award letter has not been updated. But I would not worry too much about it since we already got an email from the scholarship committee.
Let me know if they give you any response in regards to additional grants! Looking forward to know lol
The email was so vague. Like what are we supposed to do? I tried making an account and it said I couldn’t. Where in our portal does it indicate our status? Like they didn’t tell us what to do!!! Lol
Congrats to everyone who received the scholarship. For those who have not heard from the scholarship committee yet, do not give up, believe that something good is going to happen, and everything will be okay. I know exactly how you feel, because I felt exactly that way two days ago with the whole Regents Scholarship thing. :((

Does anyone know any past winners and how much extra they got in need-based grants?
as far as i just researched, @onmyway8, the alumni scholarship will pay you the 2000/year as well as the perkin loan based on your financial needs which means that with just the Perkin loan (often for transfer students), it won’t be a full ride but still helps
