My sister doesn’t qualify for financial aid anyway so I’m not exactly sure what to think about the document tracking =/

mines starts with 304******. no one else has that start. is this a bad thing?

@rw…I logged on the other day just like you said except I didn’t check the box newly admitted student, I think it was the third option below that. I did use her 7 digit application id and her name, etc. I do not have a parent account or anything like that. You’re right, after I did that i used her name for her logon ID. So, now what? Will she be able to find out the decision with the logon name and password? Thanks so much for ALL of your help rw. Will be leaving in a few minutes, have to go help out with a senior ball fundraiser that starts at 430 EST and my shift is over at 7 EST. Good luck to all!

@illnoisman I think we’ve more or less accepted that the first number is totally random.

I am an transfer student. I am not even able to make an account

When i put my UC App ID, it gives me an error.

"ERROR

Your UCLA Identification Number must consist of 9 digits."

@tug, you are able to get a 9 digit number after your logon name? How did you acquire that number? Was the 9-digit number available before you set your new logon name that can NEVER change? I am very confused by all of this.

When I went to school (I graduated from Loyola Marymount in '83) anyone, for the most part could get into UCLA and USC. If I recall correctly, a 2.8-3.0 GPA and a 1100 SAT would secure your spot at UCLA and SC.

AND, these days if your kid doesn’t study the right thing, he/she may not even get a job after they graduate. Heck, I degreed in accounting, as I want my daughter to do, and I was hired by one of the Big 8 firms (now they’re Big 4) well before I graduated. Today, you may be waiting for a job for a while.

I was at the mall for Christmas buying a Coach purse for my wife and there was a sales person there helping me who graduated from UCLA a year ago with a BS in math. Now she’s selling purses at the mall?

It worked, now I’d like to join the group of people who support the notion that this means absolutely nothing xD.

@ep120794 and tugtraveller, do you mine posting your son/daugther’s stats?

So it sounds like most can create the nine digit number and create a UCLA logon ID and password, but only two can use that logon ID and password to access MyUCLA. Everyone else who attempts to logon gets the automatic signout page.

OMG this is hilarious…

The level of neurotic on this thread is close to 5000 ahahahaha

Did you guys just input your UC App ID?

Yes. I used the plain vanilla UC applicant id we were given for all the UC’s back in November. Then, used that to get to the next page which was to create a UCLA log-in ID. Just kept going forward (next, next, next) and then created the UCLA log-in id with my daughter’s name, password she created, and her password re-set question. When we log onto the “myUCLA” page this is what it says (just logged back in):

It could be possible that both admitted and waitlisted students would both be assigned UCLA id numbers. My daughter was deferred EA from Stanford in December, and all the deferred EA applicants were given Stanford id’s in their online system for updates, etc.

You guys being trolled by UCLA trolololol

If you could stop with the inane comments, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I find it hilarious that people can’t just wait a few hours.
