SIR UCB, Though still waiting on one long shot!
I SIRed to Berkeley. I will be majoring in Philosophy, and minoring in Russian Literature. Absolutely thrilled.
I SIR’d to Berkeley. I am planning to switch my major from Political Science to Legal Studies, and minor possibly in rhetoric.
I SIRed to Berkeley almost immediately, couldn’t be more stoked to go there.
On a side note, can someone explain minoring in a subject to me? Is the primary benefit of it just to supplement your major? Would it aid in getting into grad school or law school? Does it add substantial workload on top of your major studies? My major is political science, and I’d potentially be interested in minoring in something related to the field (like philosophy or rhetoric).
I’m planning to SIR UCLA although hopefully switching from Financial Actuarial Mathematics to Mathematics of Computation with a specialization, not sure yet, and possibly a minor in accounting. I need to check it all first. I’m just holding out since I need to get a titer test for immunizations, if they can’t find my records.

Accepted: UCSB, UCLA, UCI, UCSD
SIR’ing to: UCSB
I wanted to go to UCLA but had a change of heart about the major I applied as.
UCSB is the only school I’ve contacted that has changed it.
I sure as hell am not waiting another year to reapply.
Congrats to everyone else on your decisions.
I SIR’d to UCLA and will be studying Economics! So. Excited.
