I thought it’d be nice to compile a list of where all of us will be attending school in the fall! It’s been a fun ride and I’ve enjoyed the presence, insight, and care of all of you here. Where will you be going?
I SIR’d to UC Davis like 5 minutes after I saw I was accepted lol
Just sent in my housing payment. I can’t wait to get there! Now I have a bunch of new things to stress out about.
@boxandwhiskers That is awesome! Several years ago that is where I wanted to be. You can’t beat that college-town feel!
Don’t forget transcripts! I’m not sure about Davis, but I know UCLA wanted transcripts up until fall 2015 by June 1st. Since they’re both on the quarter system, I’m making an assumption here.
I say this more for the benefit of others; I’m sure you’re on top of everything. Congratulations.
@Cheolf Thanks! I love the town. It’s the perfect fit for me. I’m ready to be somewhere small and quiet.
They actually changed the transcript due date to July 1st. The hardest part is getting my HS transcripts, and they only let you come pick them up in person.
@Cheolf yeah I noticed that UCLA wanted your transcripts till Fall 15 before June first. My spring semester will end around May 23th. Shall I send my transcript before my Spring 16 ends or send it with my transcripts with Spring 16 after May 23th? This would save me some money, but I guess I need to talk to my CC’s admission staff first.
SIR’d to Davis for Computer Science, I’m excited to make the most of my upcoming transfer experience with my friends going there as well as the new ones I’ll make
CC has taught me a lot about how to enjoy my time with school.
SIR’d Berkeley an hour ago. I’ll be double majoring in Political Science and Rhetoric. I’m from Northern Cal so it will be nice to return. I enjoy living away from home, but flying and driving back and forth several times a year takes a toll. Now, I’ll only be an hour-length podcast away from family.
And now I have to get back to filling out forms and finishing my final assignments for the next three weeks. The exhaustion will be brutal. I feel like it won’t REALLY hit me until this semester is behind me.
@Cheolf It is. I enjoy philosophy, but I am not as interested in the history of it as I am with the literal construction of argument. I do have law school in the back of my mind, but I also enjoy creative writing and essentially everything that consists of slowly pieces together works. So, a program that lets you study rhetoric in speech, fiction, non-fiction, media, interviews, policy, etc. I love all of it.
I can’t wait to quit my job and return to a regulated sleep schedule. It’s been two years now. My schedule is beyond erratic.
@BlackPlasma@yakattak Believe it or not, Econ & Accounting at UCSB was exactly what I wanted to do a couple of years ago. It’s a fantastic program. Just be wary of Econ 10A!
The curve for the class has been thrown out the window so that should help relieve some pressure. Though the class will not be easy. From what I read in previous forums it was a bunched of constrained optimization. Basically a whole bunch lot of Lagrange multipliers.
@yakattak
I was thinking the exact same thing as I’m paranoid about econ10a. Though that’s how I am even when I’m getting an A, I think it’s the fear of doing that puts me to study hard.
