Hey guys I would greatly appreciate if someone can chance me, especially an admitted transfer student.
I am a cc student trying to transfer to USC in 1 year
High School GPA: 2.6
SAT: 1780
Community College GPA: 4.00
23 quarter units completed so far, 54 quarter units will be done by spring.
Taking 2 honors classes.
All major reqs will be done by spring and 6 out of 8 GE courses will be done.
Got a recommendation from EWRTA 1A (english) professor.
@Skepta It’s hard to give people a chance but you seem to be on the right track. If you have over 30 semester units your Hs grades and SAT scores will be ignored.
I’ve taken business calculus at my cc but it doesn’t show as a direct course equivalent on the transfer agreement but shows on the credit section. Does that mean i haven’t completed the math requirement for Marshall?
@jjcc77 unfortunately, that might be the case… I asked my USC admissions counselor if my CC’s Business Calculus would fulfill the requirement, and she said it would not since there is no equivalent to that course at USC
@penntousc Minutes after posting the question, I emailed my counselor and was told my bus calc class meets the requirement and is approved for Marshall, but isn’t an exact course equivalent. After an hour or so in crisis mode, preparing to enroll and attempt to petition a bus calc class at another nearby cc, I am extremely relieved. My body is getting back down to equilibrium. Wooh. Thank goodness for the admission counselors!
@pomeranian4rich I will have over 30 semester units/45 quarter units by the end of spring 2017, but on the application i sent, only 23 quarter untits done.
@Skepta there is no guarantee of anything… If you have your requirements and GEs in progress during the time of application, they will most likely send an SGR. However, if one were to have a 4.0 with random classes, they would most likely get a flat out rejection
