Does USC require us to submit the “College Report” and “additional Forms”?
Hmmm ok. I think i will email an advisor to make sure but thanks for the info!
@mkjmkj I don’t think you can transfer if you are a junior currently only if you are a sophomore or a freshman if you complete the first year transfer plan
@gosteelers123abc USC does not require the additional forms and college report
@stahboy @mkjmkj you can transfer at any time, but only 64 credits are allowed to be transferred, so essentially if you are a junior standing you’ll be looking at an extra year of school
@penntousc Oh I see. That would be difficult to choose the credits to transfer
@stahboy yeah it’s not too common to see applicants with higher than a sophomore standing
@stahboy I have 55 credits, I’m barely a junior. I’ll have 68 credits by the end of the semester.
This may be a stupid question, but how are you guys keeping from stressing out about ur decision? 4 months until decisions come out and i dont know how to get through without being in constant stress. I have a 4.0 cc gpa after 5 classes (23 quarter units), but my SAT which i sent were shit so i keep thinking about that too. Any tips on not stressing for the next 4 months?
@Skepta my only advice is to embrace the torture. There is no silver lining in this wait, it sucks and there’s really no other way to put it. I just hope this thread stays at least somewhat active, because that seemed to be helpful during the wait for those who applied last year. And don’t worry about your SAT scores, as long as you will have 30 or more transferable semester units by the end of spring, they will not count for anything, I promise you.
@penntousc Damn, “embrace the torture” , thanks I needed to hear that. It will remind to not get complacent at least.
@Skepta Honestly though I really don’t think it’s too bad until your spring semester is finished, because by that point you’ve got nothing else to do but wait, so at least most of the time should move seemingly fast.
@penntousc thats true. Also USC only notifies via mail right? like the dont email or let you know of the decisions electronically?
@Skepta no, most people receive notifications on the portal first actually. I put my number on my commonapp as a means of communication, so I’m hoping they’ll use that for any missing documents because if I do happen to get in, I really prefer to receive the package in the mail. I feel like a notification on the portal is pretty anticlimactic
@penntousc what portal is this? the common app portal?
@Skepta YouSC, pretty sure it becomes available shortly after applying or after Feb 1st
@penntousc so would an applicant that started 2015 fall be considered a sophomore applicant ? And they have close to 60 units done ?
@Pantafootball yup. I started 2015 fall too and have 68units completed by the end of winter. and considered as sophomore applicant going into junior year.
@pomeranian4rich this whole time I thought I was considered a junior haha … well that’s a relief.
@pantafootball Well there are different ways to say it. some ppl would say sophomore applicant meaning= freshman applying for sophomore year or junior applicant= sophomore applying for junior year.
essentially anything under 64 transferable units by spring you’re considered sophomore standing(entering as sophomore), over 64 you’re considered junior standing(entering as junior)
