2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

Has anyone else had trouble sending their transcripts? I’ve submitted mine 3 times with the correct address… I’m so frustrated

So I went into the admissions office and I was told since I completed 70+ credits, I did not need my high school transcripts. However, I asked the admissions counselor for my area and she said that I did need to turn those in. Anyone have any experience with this?

@bugajskj it’s because they need to see proof that you’ve graduated, and they use high school transcripts for that. I think a few people asked about it before and ran into the same problem, because sometimes if you ask admissions that question, they think that you’re asking if your high school grades will be considered when your admission decision is made.

Hey everyone!

I am a sophomore prospective transfer student. I have actually been following the transfer thread since the last academic school year, but did not apply to transfer and decided that this year I should give it a shot!

Got it, thank you!

@ashurikko Yes, I’m on my second college transcript, not entirely sure they’ve got it still. They lost the first one.

Has anyone here applied to SCA?

Any of you think that location (in state or OOS, how far) could have anything to do with who is given fall or spring admission?

@moncc44 I called the financial aid office because on March 3, I was just notified that I needed to submit another required document (the CSS profile)- I was confused and worried because I had never seen the required document prior to the deadline. The man from the financial aid office told me that as long as I have the other documents in, it is not that big of a deal if I submit the CSS after the deadline.

When do you guys think we’ll start getting decisions!?

@Panitaispretty TTP and junior transfers should start hearing back before the end of March, and decisions will continue to roll out until mid July… sophomore applicants being the most likely ones to wait that long

Most people I know who applied to USC got their response at the end of April (29th to be exact)

So I think mid April is when I would start to be checking everyday.

@jonathaanv do you know if they were TTP? I’m not, just wondering though… not like it matters too much because I’ll probably be here waiting until June-July lol

@penntousc no they weren’t. Regular decision. They were all Marshall applicants so idk if maybe that’s why it was in April and not march like you mentioned above.

@jonathaanv Most junior applicants will hear in April while sophomore in July/June. It sucks that you got waitlisted for slo and I still havent’ heard back lol, Let’s hope we both get in for usc, who cares about slo lol

@pomeranian4rich I’m over state schools at this point. I just want it to be April already so I can start getting news from all the UCs I applied to and USC as well.

Best of luck to you as well!

@penntousc all decisions are released by 1 june

@alienman1234 those that receive SGRs could be waiting up until mid July, because by June 1st, an applicant will either receive a decision, or an SGR… @pomeranian4rich didn’t hear until like a week and a half into July last year, and @zettasyntax actually sort of defied that deadline because he didn’t receive anything until like June 5th

I’m honestly losing it. Some days I feel confident and others I feel like I’M DOOMED!!! Like I go back and forth I can’t keep up! As the days go on I feel more doomed than confident hahaha
Help!!! But at least we have one less month to wait! WOOO we can do this guys!

@penntousc atleast you get some sort of decision by 1 june, after that it depends on your spring grades so that depends on person to person
