Advance from Washington state! Got both the email and the application. The night is still young so wait a bit longer to see if you get an email and check your spam.
I advanced from NJ! Do we just upload the student report of our ACT scores?
I advanced to states in CA! I’m really excited and I wish good luck to anyone else that survived past districts! Does anybody know of any scholarships given out at the district level?
So for the SAR we print it out then scan it and upload it as a pdf? Is there any way to just download it as a pdf file directly off of the fafsa website?
Never mind I figured out how to.
Has anyone got rejection letters, or did they only send out emails to those who went to round 2?
@gogators<3 I am from Florida too and I advanced. But my friend from high school did not advance and she is well qualified so I know they are being at least a bit selective.
If I don’t have an official ACT score report, should I talk to my school? I only have the “unofficial” one that’s online.
I also advanced from Indiana! Congrats!
@climb2thetop did your friend get a rejection email
If you upload your transcript and no longer have the option to upload ACT/SAT scores- it’s because they pull your test scores from your transcript if they are available! Just got an email from ISTS, I thought something was wrong with my application
@dylan37 yes she did get a rejection email
If we don’t have our SAT scores listed on our transcript, how do we download the scores as a PDF?
@amynguyen2017 Go to “My SAT” and click on “view sent scores” under your most recent SAT and then click “view score report” and you should be able to download it from there (I am going by memory so let me know if you do not see where to click).
@math3matical thx!
I got an email three days ago saying they made a mistake and that I advanced to the State level. I live in Tennessee. How competitive of an applicant am I? I have a 3.2 GPA and 23 Act score. I have taken all Honors Courses and I will have three Dual-Enrollment courses by the time I graduate. I am an Eagle scout and I have earned 112.5 hours of community service by volunteering for my church, my Eagle Scout Project, and Teen Court. I am also a member of Beta Club and I participated in Cross Country and Track freshman and sophomore year. I currently have a part-time job as a Barista at Books-A-Million and work 20-25 hours a week. I am attending San Diego State University in the fall to study Nutrition. I was happy to advance to the District and to the State level. Do you think I have a shot of being one of the 480 people that wins a $1000 per year scholarship? The only problem is my family of EFC of 101760. While my parents might earn a lot of money, taxes eat them alive and I still need some scholarships to pay for college.
“How competitive of an applicant am I? I have a 3.2 GPA and 23 Act score.”
Not very.
Not being mean, this competition is based on hard and fast numbers, and those two stats will net you low numbers. The over 100k EFC will hurt you tremendously, too.
I’m a little late, but I advanced to State level from Massachusetts.
Ooo I can feel the countdown closing in! “Late February” Is just around the corner folks! Along with the 500 national MVS scholars! Good luck to you all :x
I’m a little late but I advanced from PA! I am so anxious and excited. I wonder how “late” they mean by “late february”… Good luck everyone!!
