@bkylngal Congrats! That sounds like an acceptance. You’re from NY I’m assuming?
Hi last semester I got a 3.8 gpa but i feel i will get denied from Marshall because I go to a public school outside california and took our required english and math for the business major at my school but I am not sure if it transfers over. I took the required english classes here and business calculus, does anyone know if that transfers over?
@BklynAngel I don’t want to get you too excited, but if it’s a package and not a mailpiece, it’s probably something better than an SGR…
@bklyngal what is your major?
If it shows a priority package from USC on Informed Delivery, then it’s an acceptance
Guys, how do you send the Spring Grades? My PDF in the portal said that I would be get instructions, but I haven’t. Thanks!
Yes from NY… Business.
@Elena1355 I think around a 3.65/3.7 i didn’t get the best grades fall quarter, but then i got a 4.0 last quarter!
hello guys, anyone knows when would usc release my decisions? Applied to CLAS Econ major.
So I’m a junior applicant at a a California CC. My situation is kinda weird tho, I graduated high school in 2011 with a 1.7 gpa, I was a very bad student back then. Then I took a four year break and worked the whole time and started college in 2016 with a new mindset. Since then I’ve had a 4.0 and honors student. I have 36 units completed so far not including my 12 units right now. My major is communications(annenberg) which I don’t think has a math requirement (correct me if I’m wrong) so right now I’m taking statistics and 3 other g.e.ds that are on the USC transfer sheet. Do you think I’ll still get a SGR even tho I’m a junior and completed algebra math and writing requirements with a 4.0 overall gpa?
I believe acceptances will start to release very soon… When Freshmen were admitted, the USC admission Snapchat was led by a freshman. There is now a sophomore giving fellow snapchatters insight into his day as a Trojan. I’m sure I’m just speculating, but it was worth a shot!
I’m a sophomore actually applying for junior** sorry
@USCPLEASE93 USC requires a student to have 64 units in order to be classified as a junior applicant. You may or may not depending on the GE courses you’ve taken. I’ve been seeing many sophomores get SGR’s, so it’s possible.
Best of luck!
@USCPLEASE93 I don’t think that you’ll get a SGR because you are a junior applicant. Like you, I also graduated high school with a very low GPA and am also an Annenberg applicant. There isn’t a math requirement, but they do require at least one term of foreign language completed. Best of luck to you I think USC really looks at the upward trends, so don’t worry!
@bklyngal Congratulations! Are you applying as a sophomore or a junior?
@USCPLEASE93 upward trends are good! your situation seems like it could go either way. technically you’ll be considered as a sophomore applicant because you have less than 60 credits. either way, an SGR isn’t a bad thing!
I am so bummed out that I got a SGR; I had to accept my offer admission to my backup. Still want to go to USC but I won’t know if I got in until June/July :((
@Elena1355 I am currently a freshman. Applying to be a sophomore… Not counting my chickens until I see whats in the package. WIll keep you guys posted. …
Also is there any Annenberg applications who have received a SGR or heard anything back? Or does anyone know from last years thread when Annenberg typically starts releasing out SGR or decisions?
I’m a NJ’er Marshall applicant… nothing here. (Currently a sophomore). Uh oh! Nothing in informed delivery. Scared.
