2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

@ everyone who uses Informed Delivery;
When I got my package, it said on Informed Delivery that I was expecting a package from USC! I don’t know if that applies to all transfers (I’m TTP and I’m also local SoCal resident), but figured I’d put that out there in case anyone wanted more info

Anyone here in a school on a quarter system that told them to send them their winter quarter grades? My friend got an email for this and I didn’t, but we both have turned in our winter grades. Do they review transfers alphabetically, or is the lack of an email an early sign of me not getting in? I feel like I’m being paranoid but I’m not sure.

Hi there! On my informed delivery it doesn’t say USC but it says the city is in Torrance CA. Is that where yours came from because my informed delivery has no other information besides that and a 20 digit confirmation number.

@vatiks Mine specifically says that the package was from USC. Looking at its specific route, it looks like USC had it sent to the USPS LA Distribution Center and then to City of Industry Center and then to my location. Keep in mind I am from SoCal (OC) so it could be really different for you, but just for reference!

@SabPardo BROO

@angeleno13 As for Interactive Media transfers? How many?

Also, when I resume communication with my counselor, would starting after the appeal notification date (May 11-yes, most appeals don’t work) be okay?

@saddletransfer How did you get to know him? The only people I know from USC are my counselor, my interviewer, and my aunt, who is an alumna. Probably a few other alumni.

My financial aid application was completed by USC on my portal telling me how much I have to pay each semester next year, but I haven’t received an acceptance letter. Does this mean I got accepted?

@anotherday9 My CC uses quarters. I did not receive a winter grades request email. However, I sent them in anyway as soon as my grades were posted at the end of February.

I figured having more A’s on my app couldn’t hurt!

@098lldd Viterbi usually gets back to it’s applicants mid-late May. Maybe it’ll be different this year, but I wouldn’t expect anything soon

@fighton5811 it seems like that!

@fighton5811 It seems like it! Were you notified by USC that your financial aid updated?

@fighton5811 Looks promising!! What school did you apply into? (Dornsife, Viterbi, Marshall, etc.)

To people who are wondering where the package from USC will be delivered:

I think the address you put on the CommonApp in the “temporary or mailing address” is the place where you will find a parcel. I dont know for sure though.

Good luck everyone!

Ah I signed up for informed delivery looks like its just meds and not usc… :frowning:

@fighton5811 In past threads, there were a few people whose financial aid updated before anything else, and they were all accepted. It’s rare, but it can happen. I think you’re good! :slight_smile:

Also, I was curious, does it say “Program of Study” under the Eligibility Checks tab of the Financial Aid section for you? And that your program of study was confirmed?

Hey guys I applied to USC and am hoping to be a sophomore marshall student next year. I heard that most sophomore transfers are usually TTP and not many non TTP’s get in unless they are legacy. Does anyone know how true this is??

@marmalo It depends on what your grades are like and what school you attend currently. You also need to have some specific course requirements done otherwise they won’t take you.

@joeyfreshwater I am planning on transfers into Interactive Media as a sophomore. My main plan is to build a massive portfolio, with possible help from upperclassmen to show my director chops. The school I will be at for freshman year is the GMU Honors College (the only other college around me with game design).
