@cardinal2020mom @sewin2music Thanks for sharing your experiences and the contact! So sending scanned copies through email is sufficient to officially confirm it? I had thought it needed to be through mail/in-person, so that’s good.
Welp that’s a load of bull that I am probably going to miss out on scholarships because I had no idea of my pending status. Anyone know if they will give me the scholarship if I am going to be a student? Like no silver for freshman year but can I reapply for Sophomore?
@cardinal2020mom Can I email that guy my mom driver license and 12 months of bills for him to fix the status for me? I thought you had to mail it.
@iceelon21 @DarkFlameCorn I only sent the info via email both to Luke and residency email address. I’m don’t think you can send in bills. They give specific forms you can use. I think one may be a car registration.
Residency was super screwed up this year. I can only assume filling out FAFSA fixed D’s status. We went on a tour a few weeks after acceptance and hers was pending. I asked about it and they said if you don’t have a “to do” don’t worry. Fast forward to late November (when they said they’d start evaluating for merit) and still nothing. I finally contacted them and it was fixed by then. The only thing that even remotely could have had residency involved was that. Seems like something so important would have maybe warranted a “to do”?
How long does it usually take to get a decision. I applied in early January and still haven’t heard back. And I have this message on my required document status: “WAITING FOR AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
Please request that an official transcript be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, P. O. Box 160111, Orlando, FL 32816-0111.
Please allow 3-7 business days processing time for electronic transcript receipt and up to 14 business days (during peak processing time) for paper transcripts.”
I already set 1/2 of my AP test scores to the school. The other AP test I haven’t taken yet and won’t until May. Will my decision/review be delayed?
@Rollercoasterkid2000 When it says “Waiting for official transcript” does it mean your high school transcript? Because I know if they don’t have the HS transcript, they can’t even start looking at your application, which could explain the delay.
@iceelon21 My high school transcript has been received. They’re waiting for my Advanced Placement transcript. I already sent my AP score for APUSH but I haven’t sent my score for AP English Language and Composition because I haven’t taken the test yet (It’s a senior class at my school).
And my APUSH score was received as well
They don’t need your AP scores in order to review for admissions. As long as you have confirmed they have your high school transcript then they have all your information. It seems to be taking a while for them to get back to people.
It’s weird to see so many other people got deferred. I’m still in the UCF limbo with no reponses to my e-mails. I’m calling today.
I’ve been accepted to FSU and UF but UCF has been a challenge for some reason, mainly because of bad communication and little/no response. Right now it’s between UF and Flagler College but UCF would be more affordable.
I applied back in December, everything has been sent such as transcripts and SAT scores but still no response. Is anyone else going through the same things?
@DarkFlameCorn Update: They recently confirmed my residency after I emailed them, and when I called UCF the person who answered said they “definitely” had scholarship funding left, so I think we still have a chance
Term: Fall 2018
Date Applied: 1/25/18
Found out yet?: Yes
Decision: Accepted
In State/Out of State: Out of State
UCF Recalculated: 3.0
ACT/SAT scores: 1250/1600 (Eng: 710, Mat: 540)
Type and amount of Scholarship Awarded: Unknown as of yet. Probably Nothing.
Are you accepting admission: UCF is my third choice, so if #1 and #2 ding me, I’ll take the offer.
I’m a transfer.
Extras: Upward trending GPA with tough quantitative courses, URM (Black), bilingual (Spanish, not through heritage)
@chantzcy when did you find out about your acceptance? I’m still waiting to hear back from them. I was deferred
@Lynn26 I found out this morning. They sent the email at 9AM EST. So all in all took about 3 weeks from application start to decision.
@chantzcy How did you find your recalculated UCF GPA? I never found mine.
@iceelon21 Actually, I don’t have mine yet. I’m assuming it’ll be on the transfer evaluation sheet, but nothing appears for me. So I just took their grading scale found at: http://catalog.ucf.edu/policies/academic-regulations
and did the calculations myself. Hope my math isn’t off!
@chantzcy Ah ok, thanks!
@iceelon21 I got everything squared away as well. They said 1-2 weeks wait on scholarship. That person better be sure funding does not run out xD. Cause someone that has the same sat score said he got 10k. If I get 10k I think I am going to be debt free. Fingers cross man
@jeneric Thanks!! Yeah, they’re taking quite a while to get back to me and they take almost an entire week to reply to my emails. Admissions should really consider adding that AP scores aren’t needed to make a decisions under the application status section
