UCF Admissions told me at the open house today that the scholarship committee just started working on merit awards. She didn’t have a date but said you could email them at scholarships@ucf.edu and they could give an exact date. (Though online, I found this email: sfascholarships@ucf.edu). I did mention what @Trixiet was told and she said they’d be OUT of money by January/February and we’d hear long before that.
Guess they are just a little late this year. Or they were early last year.
Anyone out of state know anything or concerned about how the new tax bill might impact scholarships? If we get the instate tuition waiver, will parents have to pay taxes on all that money, if so, it kills this for us.
Just checked this morning. Still nothing here. @UCFin2018 , thanks so much for asking about it. I believe UCF students have classes today and tomorrow, so maybe the scholarship office is working too. It’s nice to have others to compare notes. Thanks again!
Remember they were closed for almost two weeks because of the hurricane. They didn’t put out acceptances at that time, so they are just behind. I’m waiting on Orientation dates- anyone have a status on that?
There are scholarships up. I just checked an hour ago and my son was awarded the Provost Scholarship. It is pretty vague on the details and doesn’t tall you what its worth online. My guess is that it will be in a letter they will eventually send him.
@UCFin2018 I wouldn’t worry about it yet. I think this is the first day and like someone said up there, it’s going to take them at least a month to get through everyone. I also just checked and I don’t have anything either.

Are you accepting admission? Probably Not. He wants out of Florida and I can’t say I blame him. Waiting to hear from one school that he applied to ED. Fingers crossed.
By the way it is a little confusing where to look. When in the Student Center either look to the right side of the page where it says “Things to Do” and if there is a scholarship it will be listed. Or, look to where it says “Undergraduate Admissions” in the Student Center you may see it there.

Type and amount of Scholarship Awarded: OOS Pegasus Gold
Are you accepting admission? Probably Not (waiting to hear back from my ED)
My D is OOS and was just awarded the pegasus silver scholarship for non-residents… Very excited, but not sure what this means. Will this waive OOS tuition? I was expecting to see knights achievement waiver and it doesn’t say that. Will this scholarship give us in state tuition or just a reduction of OOS tuition?
Wow, I thought OOS couldn’t get Pegasus Scholarships (Bronze/Silver etc), just Knights Achievement. It’s either a mistake or a change. You might need to contact them. Silver is a lot less than a KA award.
My son is OOS and also received Pegasus Gold. It does say Pegasus Gold for Non FL Resident. I don’t see where it shows how much the scholarship is tho.
