My D just got her letter in the mail for the Pegasus Silver OOS. It’s $34K. Was getting worried how much less it would be than the Pegasus gold, but thankfully not too much less. The knights achievement waiver had been 44K in the past few years. I wonder if any OOS scholarship still is for this amount. Interesting that all the amounts thus far are below that. Anyway, congrats to everyone!!
D received letter yesterday: Pegasus Gold OOS- 38K over 4 years.

My son recently received his scholarship offer - Pegasus Silver - In State - 10K over 8 semesters.
He’s a homeschooler, so many of his classes are different than what are offered in most public schools.
Several classes were from Kolbe Academy (Theology, English/Literature, History).
4.0 unweighted GPA
5 FLVS classes
AP Biology, numerous Honors
29 ACT
Football, weightlifting, and wrestling with the local high school
100+ volunteer hours
Employed - Sales Associate at Kohl’s
FL Bright Futures - FL Academic Scholar
Does anyone know how much the FAFSA impacts the amount of the scholarship that you receive? I wonder if our family’s income is over a certain amount, my son will not receive part, if not all, of the Pegasus scholarship. I believe that Bright Futures is not impacted by the FAFSA.
Congrats to your son on his acceptance and scholarship! The Silver is merit and not affected by FAFSA or need. Just like Bright Futures. At least, that’s how I understand it.
wondering the same as @HomeschoolinFL - D’s letter that came with Pegasus Gold amount sounds like it indicates that if her cost for college with the award money is less than the FAFSA calculated EFC then her scholarship amount may be reduced - however I thought the Pegasus Gold was merit money and not connected with the FAFSA EFC amount. Anyone with info on this?
@Mom2NND my older daughter got a Pegasus Gold scholarship two years ago and FAFSA does not reduce scholarship amount. We do not qualify for any financial aid and she has been able to stack prepaid, bright futures and Pegasus and typically receives a nice deposit in her account every semester. Anything over the costs of tuition, fees and books is their money to do with what they wish.
FAFSA doesn’t affect bf or Pegasus.
Has anyone received word since the first round? Are there ANY Bronze awards out there? Seems like most were Provost, Gold, and a few Silver.
Send in a resume!!! My stats were much lower and I was deffered at first but a week after I emailed my resume to the admissions office I was accepted
My son received Bronze. 4.1w GPA, 1300 SAT, athlete in HS with honors society, clubs, and PT job. We’re waiting to hear from UF and FSU before deciding.
It has been incredibly quiet on the scholarship front. My younger daughter has the same ACT score as the older daughter but a better GPA so I’d expect the same scholarship for her but so far nothing! In the past it seemed these were awarded most in ACT/SAT scores (everyone we knew that got Provost or Gold all had very similar scores regardless of GPA or honors). Hoping for another wave of instate awards to happen soon!

Very disappointed in how this process is going. My S has already heard from other colleges that he applied to after this one. They keep saying they want his College transcript even though it is not needed for a decision. We know that it will need to be provided at some point, however, it is incomplete as he is still attending and enrolled in classes. He applied well over a month ago and I keep reading that folks have heard decisions within a week or two. Is this normal here? Getting concerned.
@22grad as far as I know they need the college transcript. I sent mine. Yes, even though I’m still taking classes.
I did speak with a very nice lady this morning in admissions and she saw my sons file and said not to worry about the college transcript for now. She said it doesn’t need to be there for a decision, but obviously would be required at his graduation in June. So, I guess it’s just the long and grueling waiting game.
For those of you that have been deferred, when you checked your application status, did it actually say “deferred” or something else? Thanks!
