I know there are many students that applied last year still awaiting decisions (which is unbelievable), but I wanted to see if there are others like me whose student applied within the last 60 days.
If so, please share your DD/DS stats and their decisions…
The transcript still shows as pending in the portal, however the admissions office acknowledged that it was received and is being processed. For those who were wondering, they also affirmed that if your student has good stats, they are processed quicker than those who may not (FWIW).
Good luck to everyone, especially those that are still awaiting decisions. Go Knights!
I think what takes UCF awhile to do is calculate a new GPA off your transcript. They recalculate it themselves. I assume it must be a manual process because it takes them so long.
I would suggest calling and making sure you have everything in. For me, I was deferred in December and got accepted 2/26. They were really behind on processing transcripts. I get that it is rolling admissions, but it does suck since most housing is now taken. And because I am a transfer and they have only one off campus dorm, it was full in like the beginning of January. Luckily I found an amazing apartment that is affiliated with UCF, but it is a very big disadvantage to get such a late decision, especially for those of you who are still waiting. I hope you all get your decision soon!
My son applied early December, and was accepted mid January. It’s odd that some have been waiting so long. Several of his friends with similar gpa and test scores applied before he did, and are still waiting.
That is so weird. There doesn’t appear to be any pattern/consistency amongst those that have received their decisions nor the ones that are still waiting.
@Minnie17 What are the scores/GPAs of his friends that are still waiting, if you don’t mind sharing?
