2019-2020 USC Transfer

@blueskies2day Just check the spreads from previous years. Some non-TTP applicants start hearing back by the end of April. Although decisions are rolling basis, USC admission office starts reviewing regular applicants (non-TTP) in April.

@blueskies2day Do you work for admissions? What are the names of two TTP accepted applicants? There are stil TTPs with 4.5 GPAs in the 90th percentile awaiting decision. Please answer the following: 1.) What are those two accepted persons majors and stats? 2.) How do you know they are being truthful in saying they have been admitted? 3.)Where did you het the April 20th date?

@CADREAMIN does that which blueskies professes match up with your understanding?

lol, it is frustrating to see so much incorrect information being put out here, but one can’t fix the internet.

@blueskies2day yeah… where did you hear that 2 ttp’s were accepted already? I am in 4 different group chats filled with hundreds of ttp people and no one has received a decision yet.

@candylover132 How do you find those group chats? Im not a TTP but I am a transfer and it would be really cool to know when others start getting accepted.

@candylover132 yeah that would be nice to be in one of those groups. I’m a sophomore transfer as well (not TTP tho)

I’m a non-TTP sophomore applicant currently attending a UC and I just got sent an email by USC Admissions to send in my winter quarter grades.

Did anyone else get an email like that?

Been browsing through last year’s transfer thread to get an idea on when decisions seem to come out the most. Honestly, seems like it was just all over the place. @CADREAMIN I saw you were talking a lot in there too, has it seemed to be like this every year? Or is this kind of a new thing? Anyway, I wouldn’t set your mind on a specific day or week. It can range anywhere from mid-April possibly to even July if you get an SGR it seems like. Hoping for something in April. Just wanted to give everyone some insight if they haven’t popped into last years thread. Best of luck to everyone

^^^ it seems as tho this year is the odd year. For several years now, this forum has heard from transfer applicants very close to when the first year students heard back and it continued to hear from applicants for months. To not have read ANYTHING by now, with the exception of USC asking for more information, from any transfer applicant is quite a deviation from the norm.

If any of you are bored, the thread from prior years can get quite interesting and informative.

@TeriYaki1 I’m guessing that USC is still trying to work out the kinks from over admitting too many students last year (their yield was way off) and the whole college admission scandal. So, I think that’s why all the decisions are late this year.

Hey everyone. Is it too late to submit the CSS profile for the financial aid? I thought we only had to submit the FAFSA and cal grant to be eligible for the financial aid. I didn’t know about the CSS profile, and to make things worse, I also haven’t submitted the tax return forms yet. I just found out that the deadline for the financial aid was March 5th. Will not submitting the CSS profile by now affect my admission or financial aid? Please advise me so worried

@magicsauce OK THIS IS AM EMERGENCY, JUST DO IT AND GET IT DONE AS SOON AS YOU CAN, LIKE RIGHT NOW IMMEDIATELY. DON’T WAIT FOR ANYONE ELSE’S RESPONSE JUST DO IT THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE.

Good Luck!

@magicsauce yeah you need to get on that ASAP

If I got a winter grade request, is it unlikely that i’ll get a spring grade request?

I got my financial aid package from two of my backup schools. One of them uses the CSS Profile while the other doesn’t. It does not appear that my noncustodial parent’s income had any effect on my financial aid with those schools. Neither one meets full need and I was still offered about $42k in gift aid at both. Makes me wonder how much USC will offer me if I get in since they meet full need? I know every school calculates it differently.

When do they generally release their decisions?

@123vgabc They said we’d receive a decision or a SGR by May 31st… Sometimes decisions can stretch until June or July. My relative attends USC and was admitted in July two years ago for Spring

the stress is starting to build. I got rejected from one of my other choice schools and my financial aid from my backup was not great so I’m really praying.

Wish u luck!!! Maybe USC would accept you anyway

May 31 seems so far away.
