Interesting. At my kids’ HS, first SEMESTER grades are automatically sent to all colleges, first QUARTER grades have to be specially requested by the school as they do not go on our transcripts and only make up 40% of the semester grade.

Same here with regards to grades. Our HS only reports in December and June. My son applied EA and just got his October ACT scores last week so we are hoping to hear something in the next week or two although we are starting to ck Gibson daily. 3.4 UW 3.9 W and 30 ACT. Would like to wish patience on everyone.

I applied on Nov 15th and just got my acceptance today via Gibson!! Some basic stats, 3.92 GPA, 34 ACT, Questbridge Finalist, lots of dual-enrollment classes, etc. Now if only I can get some major aid…

Interesting. I did very well my first quarter (97 gpa) but I know my school does not automatically send first quarter grades and I did not think Tulane asked for those. Should I try to figure out a way to get those sent to Tulane? Would they even be considered?

I just had D call Tulane and they said they don’t need first quarter grades. :)

@Hi1997 - Tulane will look at anything relevant that is sent to them. They may not require (need) them, but they will put it in your file and take note if they are good, I would think.

I’m really panicking now, no way I’m getting in.

Told D what you said @fallenchemist and she said that she doesn’t want to be obnoxious, or appear that she can’t follow instructions. sigh. And she got straight A’s first quarter. [-O<

@samshabs @ubermika what state do you live in?

@emorytulanereach International student from Jordan :)

@engineering2015 i think i applied end of september or beginning of october and got my decision mid nov? i cant remember exactly sorry!

@zebrarunner yes i emailed them a two minute dance supplement

Is there any way to tell if they have reviewed your application and put it aside or if they just haven’t reviewed it? My Gibson account says that my application is complete and awaiting review.

^^^ mine says the same thig…submitted a long time ago. I have a hunch I won’t get in, because I have somewhat lower stats but hoping for the best. Goodluck too all of those still waiting!!! 12 more days!!!

I live in central FL

Hi I’m from NYC and Tulane is by far my top choice. I have a 31 ACT and 3.4 Gpa UW at a very challenging school, which is renowned for rigorous courses. I applied 11/15 and I wrote very heartfelt essays and I have a pretty good resume. Im getting nervous and can someone also tell me how to find the number of my college rep?

I have 4 AP’s , two of which are senior year courses. I have also taken all honors courses and advanced spanish.

what time was your decision posted ?

Where are my 11/15 procrastinators at? Any of you guys heard back? Also, does Tulane (and other colleges) still send you mail right after you are accepted?

@emilyv1997 I’m wondering the same thing. It makes me more anxious every time I see the same status and statement when I log on to Gibson. If I’m deferred, I would want to know ahead of time instead of worrying about it even more!
@gminor my app wasn’t complete until Nov. 12 so I’m part of the procrastinators club haha. I haven’t heard back yet, but I’m also wondering if anyone who applied near the deadline has gotten in.
