Also showed a good amount of interest by going to meeting near me and stuff. Reflection
Strengths: transcript, I put in a lot of hard work into my very demanding course load, only one B from first semester AP class junior year, everything else is A’s
Weaknesses: ACT test scores- english and reading weren’t good at all
Why you think you were deferred: ACT score and possibly lacking a little in leadership
Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected: accepted to: U of I engineering(very competitive), and 5 other schools that were a given to be accepted to. no rejection letters. also deferred from U Michigan.
General Comments : I think these schools just had too much on their plates and it’s very possible they just didn’t get to many applications.

I also would say I probably got in because I had such a connection with my admission counselor. We had so much in common (both swimmers, both had shoulder injuries on the same side, both bad backstrokers, our dads worked in the same field, he’s from my state and went to school a few miles away from mine so he knows my school’s strenuous reputation isn’t an exaggeration, we both wear crocs (I was wearing light blue crocs when he came to my school for a visit) just a bunch of stuff really. Also my why Tulane essay was soo detailed and long I think they could really see how much I want to be there.

General Comments/Advice/Hindsight: We did visit and he stressed about it in essay, he also took advantage of other kids in the past and discussed it before hand. Even got help with Fallen Chemist before he died. I am sure he would be proud to hear he got in. Find your passion for my son it was the Boy Scouts and try to stand out among all the others that do that activity. It is not how many activities it is having one your the best against all the others that do similar activities. He actually met some amazing Eagle Scouts out in Philmont and some did even more amazing things, but for little old Maine with the cold winters I’d say he did good.

•Strengths:
•Weaknesses:
•Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I honestly have no clue I didn’t even write (well submit, i got too hasty in turning in all my apps the same day) the why Tulane essay but I did visit (hated it after the visit actually, PreviewTU changed my perspective) and I wrote/completed the requirements for their scholarships Dean and Paul Tulane at the same time as I submitted so maybe that made up for it.
•Where else you are applying or have already applied:Rice University (Accepted, was my dream for most of high school and I love them still), Tulane (Accepted, Attending love them more), University of Miami (Accepted), University of Florida (Accepted), Pratt (Accepted)

General Comments/Advice/Hindsight: They are very generous, love the faculty, love the Architecture program. Don’t judge the surface lack of diversity on campus as the full story, ask about “the O” and Mrs. Carolyn (love her) or contact Toni Riley

All in all including a scholly from the School of Arch in addition to other merit and fin aid (11k in federal loans) they gave me about 63k p/y and I JUST (TODAY) won a 5k scholarship from the AIA. TU can’t be beat Rolll WAVVVVEEE
