@aBitOfLuck That’s probably the wisest decision indeed. I got rejected from Uchicago yesterday, so I’m really apprehending ND’s notification.

Has anyone called the admissions office for concrete info or are people just making guesses about decision day? I don’t wanna confront my anxieties if we’re not actually gonna find out today or tomorrow, haha.
@willay I have a very credible and knowledgable source that gave me a timeframe. Won’t be revealing what he/she said, but I will say tomorrow is my personal guess after receiving said person’s information.
@IvyHopeful98 why do you keep saying that you have an “credible, reliable source” if you’re not telling us the time (or timeframe)?
My personal belief is the 20th. And I also have a fairly reliable source–(and I’m revealing what she said now) who told me that it’ll be the 18th-20th.
Not that she’ll be 100% correct. At least I’m giving some information, not just “my guess.”
@tina23 Because if any specific individuals read this thread, I fear that my source could get into some trouble. Therefore, I’m trying to remain as vague as possible. If you want some sort of proof, then I can tell you my source is currently at ND, possibly a student, possibly faculty. l’ll leave that for you all to question. I think I’ve been one of, if not the most, active on this sub forum as of late, so there is no motivation for me to be tricking anybody. Everyone satisfied? I appreciate the sass though.
Well schools aren’t above ruining a holiday thats for sure…just got a rejection today from definitely a reach school, a little higher than ND so I haven’t lost all hope. Actually yeah I have, at this point I’m just hoping for ND’s rejection letter to be nicer haha
Last year, letters were dated and mailed on March 19, two years before on the 21st. So everyone take a deep breath. @IvyHopeful98 there are probably less than a handful of people employed at ND who know for certain. If your source is one of these, then great; if not, well his/her guess will probably prove, based on prior years, to be pretty close anyway. Possibly tomorrow, probably not over the weekend, would be my guess. But it’s just a guess. Try to find something to distract yourselves. And good luck to all of you, and I hope you all get in. I can’t even begin to express what an amazing place ND has been for my kids.

@wismom3 My kids were not legacy applicants and were, if anything, anti-hooked.

I was only saying, excuse my words, that what you’ve been saying about that credible source was pointless. It doesn’t offer any valuable information other than: “ivyhopeful98 has a source currently at ND; he didn’t tell us what the source said; he guessed that it’ll be Friday.” Am I right?
Btw, if your source would “get into some trouble” telling you, then he/she shouldn’t have told you in the first place. That’s also a fair statement, right?
I’m not trying to get into any sort of argument here. What I’m trying to say is exactly what @ejcclc just said. Take a deep breath. Is it possible that it comes out on St. Patrick’s day? Friday? Yes. Definitely. But who knows exactly which day? Very few (including ivyhopeful98 maybe)
Don’t get your hopes up for Friday or even Saturday. Don’t panic either. If you’re admitted, you will be in a few days. If you’re not…well, at least I don’t want to know that I’m rejected so early.
(That being said, I’m hoping it’s Friday just like most of you. I’m leaving my parents in 2 days for spring break, and I’d love to share my decision with them)
Everyone really needs to stop saying they’re rejected already. Seriously we don’t know, anything can happen and I bet everyone on this thread is ridiculously accomplished
