Congratulations :tada:

Double checked mine, might be because my application is for acting, not MT. As always, trying not to read into anything!

My daughter’s email reads, “Our records show that you submitted an application for consideration to our BFA in Acting for Stage, Screen & New Media for fall 2022. Our faculty are still reviewing the files and we expect to pass along updates regarding our callback no later than Friday, January 28, 2022.”

Does anyone know how this aligns with upcoming scholarship announcements?

May I ask for which program?

If it’s any reassurance, I’ve heard from many kids, including my MT D2 who auditioned via zoom last year, that BoCo’s virtual dance call is really fun. Since it’s on zoom, you don’t need a lot of room for it. As I recall, the kids get asked to improv dance, but try to keep it low stress and fun. BAL!

Anyone have experience with Elon virtual audition? It was very short- only 10 minutes…

she really does!!!

That’s how long my daughter’s was at Elon last year. Some virtual auditions were even shorter than that!

I think that was pretty typical for acting, if I remember correctly my S’s audition for michigan was about that long, it was so anticlimactic! Esp since he went at the very end of the day!

I thought my D’s audition (for Michigan this year) was pretty short at about 15 minutes. I wondered if that was typical but first audition (zoom) and so we have no idea.

My son wound up going at the very end of the day and he thought they were really done by the time he went and they were very short with him. They were running very late. 10-15 minutes is pretty typical. I think NYU was the same.

She did say they were right on time (and it was towards the end of the day as well) but probably many lessons learned from last year in terms of sticking to schedule and time.

Question: My daughter has already auditioned for a few programs virtually via Audition room on Accepted. We remember she answered questions and went back in and paid awhile back to use Audition room. CCM switched ro virtual for Unifieds and in their communication it mentioned making sure ro pay the Accepted audition room fee. Did we pay this once and it covers us for using audition room for any school? We do not see anywhere for CCM that a payment is needed in Accepted—did that time we paid for Audition Room and answer questions for the first virtual audition cover her for all subsequent uses of Audition room? If it didnt, I guess we will need to contact CCM to see where in Accepted Audition Room it is expected to pay.

Last year my son’s final audition for Elon was a 6 min interview- no songs/monologues/dance. I thought it was strange how they could go from an all day campus visit/live audition in previous years, to a 6 min interview

Interesting how the audition process varies so much from school to school. My son had his first live audition at Fordham today and loved the process. He was given interesting redirections and had a lot of fun.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the theatre arts admissions decisions for Marymount? I’m wondering if it’s on a rolling basis, as were the academic decisions.

Last year it was on a rolling basis. For those who auditioned virtually, the turnaround was typically 2-4 weeks. For those who submitted videos, it seemed to take quite a bit longer.
