I'm currently a junior in high school and took the PSATs early this year. I got a 73 on critical reading, a 66 on math, and a 70 on the writing. I have a month to study. I know, I KNOW, I should have started studying earlier. However, I want to make the best of what I have. Does anyone have tips? I read all of the guides and am currently overwhelmed with which review books to buy and how to learn vocabulary. Does anyone have any tips?

Start basic, take a full sat practice test and identify problem areas, then get the blue book and do a couple problems a night, with focus on your problem areas, do another practice test every weekend… Also get something to help with strategy, studyisland, prepfactory, there’s a bunch… And remember the psat is really different than the sat,i took the sat first and got a 2220, then took the psat and got a 216

Direct Hits Volume 1 and 2 for sure on vocabulary

Oh yeah and get a vocab app for your phone or computer

Which vocab app would you recommend?

I raised my score by 400 points and got an 800 in math by working on my problem areas for a week before my test, you can alot in the time you have left.

Grubers is good for math. I heard that Barrons 2400 is good for grammar.

I used this one book called Hot Words for vocab. The psat really is different than the SAT though, and IMO, much harder than the SAT. I got a 180 something on the psat and got a 2050 on the actual sat. I studied…but not much.
