2150 SAT vs 34 ACT

I am applying to schools soon, including UNC which has an E.A. deadline of October 15.

Also, I am retaking the SAT in about a week, aiming for 2200+. I am from the East Coast so I guess I'm hesitant in not sending my SAT score because I am still under the impression that they are more valuable.

So should I send both scores, or just the ACT score?

SAT is NOT more valuable than the ACT, in fact more people take the ACT than the SAT.

Send both scores

Perfectly true about there being no difference in value between the ACT and SAT. I would just send the ACT because it is much higher.
barrk123, you say that both tests are equal in weight, then why wouldn’t I send only the ACT?

Assuming you took the ACT+W, save your money and send it only. No need to send the SAT unless you are sending Subject Test scores.

And personally, I’d sleep in next week, unless you think you can clear 2300.

^agree. never take an SAT aiming for just 50 points more. It never works.

A 34 ACT is the equivalent of a 2250 SAT. So just send the ACT.

I’d just send the ACT.

And skip retaking the SAT. It looks like you are ‘test obsessing’ here.

Yea I meant to say to just send the act

Also, if you do want to retake a test, it does not seem to make sense to attempt to raise the lower one (even if you raise it, you may still not get as high a score as you did on the other test)?
