Atlanta! Fun city, so much to do. Some call it the New York of the South, and it definitely lives up to this hype (without the weather of course). Metro Atlanta is one of the ten largest metro areas in the country, home to nearly 6 million people! Atlanta is a center for commerce and the service industry and is one of the fastest growing cities in the country.

The Weather! Sunny days year round. Average high in October-- 73. Average high in December-- 54. Snow? Maybe once a year.

You're 5 miles from Downtown Atlanta, but not exactly in the city. You feel secluded, yet still inside a huge city center. You feel the comfort and charm of a small-town smack just minutes from the CNN Center, Coca-Cola Center, and hundreds of other Atlanta attractions.

Outstanding Academics. Emory is rated #20 in US News College Rankings and has been consistently ranked in the top 20 for many years. Programs include business, nursing, and others within the undergraduate level. Emory is also a leader in the Healthcare and medicine field.

Outstanding Professors. Professors here make time for students. As a freshman, you're required to take at least 1 freshman seminar. These classes have less than 15 students. Most classes at Emory, in general, have fewer than 25 students.

Everybody's Smart Here. Class of 2014 Profile: Average UW GPA: 3.87. ACT Average: 31-32. SAT 1960-2250.

Team Sports. Yeah, we have no football team. But check out the rest of our great Division 3 sports. And join yourself. Intramural is big on campus.

Diversity. 51% of students are of color. Over 15% are international students. Over 65% of students come from outside the Southeast.

Green campus. Literally. We are eco-friendly! Our water in dorms/ libraries is saved. Buildings are LEED certified. There's grass everywhere! Check out the beautiful Quad :).

Volunteer Opportunities. Easy access to all sorts of volunteering. From working at a food bank, to planting trees with Trees Atlanta. Volunteer Emory is an amazing program. And it's so easy to get involved!

The FOOD! Normally college food is subpar by traditional standards, but Emory's food, in all honesty, is pretty darn good. The DUC (Dobbs University Center.. main student center) has a cafeteria with all sorts of delicious, buffet-style options). We're vegetarian, lactose intolerant, Kosher friendly, too! And we have good sandwiches. Yum! Oh, and there's Cox Hall, Zaya's, Woodruff, 2 Starbuckses, and more on campus, and more in Emory Village!

New bookstore. Largest Starbucks on a college campus? Yup! Three floors of cleanliness with a huge variety of books? Yeah, we've got that, too.

Excellent Work-study Program. Work-study part of your financial aid? It's easy to get a job you'll like and brag about.

Excellent Financial Aid- NO Loans to families of low-income. We meet 100% of demonstrated need, always. For some, it costs more to go to their local state school (and community college!), than it does to go to Emory.

Dorms (most importantly, freshman). SO NICE! Our newest, Longstreet-Means, houses 350 Freshman (about 1/4 of our class). There are 3 other new dorms built within the last 3 years. Themed Housing means super cool guests come to visit, free food comes often, and fun activities are available. Also, our dorms foster a tight-knit community. Your hallmates will become your best friends :). Sophomore dorms are nice too! Suites in Woodruff! And you can't forget about Clairmont Campus Housing. Hello, it's like a country club! An outdoor pool!!

Jimmy Carter + The Dalai Lama. CAME TO SPEAK TO US WITHIN 2 MONTHS OF SCHOOL! Where else but Emory?

Family. We are Emory. We're one family. We're all nice here. Seriously. Orientation stresses the closeness we have to one another.

The work-load is manageable. And the classes you'll take are sure to be interesting. Time-management is key. If you have good time planning, you'll have free time, and you won't stress.

Prestige. Obviously we're a good school, and people know that. It's nice to brag, =D.

HAPPINESS. We're happy here. Something about the campus says it's always sunny.

Computer Labs. Cox Computer Center is amazing! Music plays like you're at a Starbucks. The main library (Woodruff) has about 10 floors and computers are on floors 1-4. MAC and PC friendly :).

Social Scene. People go out into Atlanta to parties and clubs, frat row on weekends, and just hang out in dorms and around campus. There's something for everyone here. It's easy to find your niche.
