I took the SAT in January and got a 2210 (760 CR, 700 Math, 750 Writing.) Then in June I took subject tests (750 Chemistry, 730 Math 2, 730 Latin). Is it worth retaking the SAT to get my math score up? Thanks!

if this was your first time then sure retake it for the math score.

do u think that the subject tests scores are high enough too? thanks for the reply

Definitely take again. I agree with previous post; a higher math score will give you a good looking superscore.

thanks! do u also have any recommendations for the essay? i only missed one multiple choice on writing but then the essay pulled me down

Do you want to major in Humanities? If so, you are okay. If you want to major in STEM, you could benefit from a higher math score. You would not have to get it up much.

im interested in languages and linguistics mostly but also chemistry. i know that percentile wise a 730 on math 2 is rather low. will that coupled with the 700 math hurt my chances if i may want to at least minor or something in chemistry?

take it again!

haha ok thx

I’d say you are pulling even with those stats. No one is going to raise an eyebrow (I don’t think) because they will see 700s; the rest of your app is what will set you apart. If you are not comfortable with them, take it again. As an alternative option, you may have better luck on the ACT.

They are good enough. Perhaps you should take on other activities rather than waste your time taking exams

Consider taking once more, otherwise it shouldn’t be the make or break factor.
Have you considered retaking IIC as well? That actually might not be necessary if you plan to major in humanities but if you have time it can’t hurt. Best of luck :)

@jhkmyun what is IIC?
