I know that Princeton accepts both the SAT and the ACT for application. I got a 2220 on the SAT (800M 740CR 680W) and a 35 ACT (36M 35E 34S 33R 10E). However, I heard that many schools on the East coast have bias favoring the SAT, so should I submit both SAT and ACT even though my SAT score is a lot lower than my ACT score assuming the rest of my app is decent? Thanks in advance!

Go for both becuase your cr + m is awesome and your 35 E makes up for the 680

Great, thanks! But just wondering is it true that there is serious bias towards the SAT over the ACT at Princeton?

Not true at all.

Philo speaks the truth Studentnow. Congrats on your scores but the old trope of “bias against ACT” has been put to bed for a few decades. Go back and correct your source of this myth.

The only bias, if you can even call it that, is that they get more SAT scores submitted than ACT scores. However, I agree with all the above posters that there is no bias in terms of making decisions to admit a student based on what test score is submitted.

Great, thanks a lot guys! Really helps!
