2290 Enough?

I got a 2290 on my first SAT; 730 CR, 780 W, 780 M. I'm a junior in a nationally ranked high school, and my dream school is Penn. My GPA however is around a 3.3. Is that enough to get in to an Ivy?
And should I take it again?

Yes, that's good enough. However, if you think you can improve it, I would say retake it. The 2290 is above Penn's average and will not keep you out. The problem I see is your GPA. But I can't help you out there.

wow I beat you in GPA but my SAT score is so low.
I think you just need to improve your GPA or do something else to make your dream come true. your SAT score is excellent.

Yeah, I agree. Your SAT score is fabulous. definitely enough to get you in to any ivy. if I were focused on bringing anything up it would be GPA...

unless you go to like the #1 high school in the country or had a serious medical condition, that GPA is gonna kill you. just really, really focus on essays i guess. SATs are good though,so that's a plus.

good luck!
