23 and planning to attend the U. Any tips?

Hello everyone,

I’ll be 23 and going to the U. What’s the best way to approach this? I don’t know anyone over at the U. Should I go to the dorms?

This is a great question! BTW, congrats on continuing your education. Will you be a first year student or a transfer or a resuming student or what?

If it were me I’d call the Office of Residential Life and speak to someone who can answer the following question: “what university housing is appropriate for students of non-traditional age?” Be sure to let them know what type of student you are (first year, transfer, etc.) so they can address this properly. And don’t delay because the housing portal should be opening sometime this month and you’ll want to get signed up (even if you aren’t 100% sure you will be using university housing). The queue fills quickly. It’s a $25 fee - nonrefundable but probably worth it to save your place.
