i just finished my second SAT test in March and I'm trying to decide if I should take it again.

January:
CR: 800, M: 710, W: 760

TOTAL: 2270

March:
CR: 740, M: 760, W: 800

TOTAL: 2300

SUPER SCORE: 800,760,800 = 2360

I'm happy with reading and writing but the thing is I want to major in engineering. So I am seriously disappointed with my math and I know I could probably do better. When looking back, I usually just make stupid mistakes. Should I retake it again just for the math, with the chance that my CR and W might drop?

I'm shooting for schools such as Harvey Mudd. Stanford, UC Berkeley, Pomona, and Rice.

^good suggestion; the scale on the math part of the SAT is really harsh, so getting that 800 on the subject test will make up for it, no problem.

it would be recommended to do a language too. if you are asian, I would take more non math/science sat IIs unless you have to, and take more language

No, come on man, the time and the effort to increase your score (unnecessary anyways) isn’t worth it anymore. 2300/2360 is good enough for any school in the nation. If you don’t get in, it wont be because your SAt was too low, it’ll be because other parts of your application were lacking.

Don’t take the SAT 3+ times if you’re aiming for schools that high and you’ve already got a good score. 2300/2360 is fine, yes I’m sure the math is disappointing but they will understand that it was dumb mistakes because of your 800 on math2.

For top schools, they usually stop looking at your scores once you reach a certain threshold.
For an engineering major I would say thats around 750. You should look into Math level 1 & 2 as well as chemistry and physics.
