Hi! I'm fresh out of high school, and was looking to apply to some undergraduate schools. As a very religiously orthodox jew, I'm limited to in state options (NY) (dorming in a secular college is a no-no). Here are my stats - I know they are really not impressive, but pleasekeep in mind that my school day is from 7:30 AM to 10:15 PM (doesn't leave much time for EC's), and my school shuns college in general.

EC: -volunteered in a local physical therapy pool for 2 months (3 times a week) - 20+ hrs.
-visited 2 autistic friends and occupied them (? don't know how to phrase this), every week, one for a month and a half, the other for 2 years.
-tutoring high school kids once a week for 2 years

AP's: Calculus AB (4), hope to take more this year before fall (I know NYU doesn't accept those)

GPA:95.00/100
Piano student for 10+ years

No SAT Subject Tests (school never told me about 'em)

SAT scores: Verified - 2250 composite, 2270 superscore (770 CR, 760 M, 740 Wr)
Unverified (will be out in 2 weeks, but i have very good reason to believe that the scores are what I mention here):

770+ Wr
790 M
760+ CR
Overalll, a 2330+

Outstanding Recs: worldwide renown SAT/AP teacher (hopefully)

Here are the undergrad choices:
NYU
YU
Brooklyn&Touro (probably not)

Any good choices in NY with these stats to get a near full scholorship?
Also, are there any good scholorship chances with these stats?

You have at least a good chance at really any school in NY. If you want to go to Columbia/Cornell you should apply there too.

You are definitely in Yeshiva
If you are trying to go to Stern 50% if regular NYU-80%
Idk about Brooklyn/Touro

Jewish pride!!! Chance me back plz

Just curious but how are you so certain of your scores on the SAT? Anyway, I think you have good chances at the colleges you listed! Just curious about your SAT though. Even if it isn’t above a 2300, your scores are still very good!

I agree with the post above. Look at some Ivy schools and NYU you should definetley get into. Good luck! Please get me back.

Already did I don’t know Uchi; can’t tell you what your chances are there.

Don’t all Ivies need 2 subject tests? If they don’t, please let me know!

Don’t all Ivy Schools need SAT Subject tests?

How about SUNY Stonybrook.

I presume you live in New York City or Brooklyn.

You could commute out to eastern long island, and perhaps arrange your classes so that you would only have to go out there 3 days a week.

Also, Fordham University. It is a Catholic School, but if you are only going there for classes, that shouldn’t make a difference.

Fordham and SUNY stony brook are both rated much lower than nyu, but thank you!
