2400 needs some help

Hey guys really excited because I got a 2400 on my October SATs! 2 things I wanted to say/ask though

1) Thanks so much, reading all those threads on college confidential (like silverturtles guide) really helped me out

2) Do you guys know if there are any scholarships I can apply to? I have a decently solid scholastic background so I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions

Well the question is way too broad isn’t it? depends on which university you are applying to, and all of them have scholarships page with their policies on it. Congrats on the score though

Oh sorry haha I’m a junior this year so not looking for a university specific scholarship yet. I was hoping for something that you just submit an application with your resume/perhaps an essay or two and then they select the most qualified applicants rather than something that requires a significant achievement in a particular field (like winning USAMO or something crazy like that).

There aren’t many good-sized private scholarships - especially based solely on scores.

Private scholarships are often small, for only ONE year, and often have a financial need component and/or a community-service component.

Scholarships based on test scores are usually give by universities. Those can be large and for all 4 years.

many schools give full-rides if you’re a national merit finalist and list them as first choice. 2400 is not a magic number per se for any thing. many schools have sat+gpa criteria for scholarships. look for threads in the Financial Aid section.
