<p>Listen, CC people, this is a great strategy.</p>
<p>I'm sure all you achievers have 300 superfluous college-oriented hours that can be replaced with SAT studying instead. Someone earlier said 300 hours of studying = 2200 MINIMUM, and if that's a general rule then it would be wise to forgo, say, those useless 300 volunteer hours spent padding the good ol' resume (and please don't tell me most high school kids volunteer for nobler reasons). Heck, if you can get the 2400 then I'd say those 300 hours are better than, and probably look better than, doing the test-tube-washing research that high schoolers love putting their name on.</p>
<p>Or how about doing it as a job with scholarship money as "payment". At the very least, studying various applications of basic math concepts, reading and learning vocabulary, and familiarizing yourself with grammar are all more stimulating than stocking shelves, sitting in on meetings, etc, etc. </p>
<p>BUT if your lives are so relentlessly action-packed and infused with life-changing meaning that you can't part with any of it, well you're going to Harvard anyways.</p>
