25 days!!!

y does the countdown go to the 15th… it’s the 11th

That one is not for Penn. Nirvanatear made that for bswsoccermom’s daughter who applied ED somewhere else.

There is another one that goes to the 11th at 3 PM posted earlier.

16 more days!

@Hopeful_underdog:

I have a bit of a complicated situation. My first choices are Duke and Georgetown. Yet I’ve found, through extensive research, that Duke gives little or no financial aid. So I can’t apply early decision. Georgetown doesn’t offer a single choice early action (like yale does), just an early action that disallows early decision (which means I can’t show commitment as strong as ED… although this means that I’m also showing a lack of commitment by not applying EA. :P). So, though Penn is my third choice, I applied ED because I wanted to use my ED card at an institution that provides superb financial aid. It’s all about the dough, as they say. So the best case scenario would be I get deferred from Penn, get in RD (hopefully better chances because I have the implied ED commitment) then get into Duke and Georgetown and choose from the college with the best financial aid. crosses fingers

huh…the results come out 11th december at 3:00pm. real nice. GAHHHH I WANNA GET IN SOOOOOOOO BADLY!!!

“Next week is gonna be a breeze too. You’ll wake up one morning and it’ll be 12 days!”

wtan-- it’s that day! ha

We’re gonna wake up one morning and it’ll be December 11. Then, hopeful_underdog is going to say:

“Set Point-- it’s that day! ha”

lawll…you guys are making me nervous. on top of that…im worrying about my chances about getting a study abroad scholarship that i got (and had to reject) last year. I think i’ll be taking a CC hiatus until the 11th :-P

At least it’s on Friday afterschool… we’ll have all weekend to celebrate! or cry…

haha I’m actually really happy that I’ll have a whole weekend to get over my rejection ha… and I’m glad I won’t have to go to school the next day and be like “no, like I told you I wouldn’t, I didn’t get in” to everyone who asks. lol

^ i know what you mean.

everyone thinks im gonna get in. “based on your SAT score, they’d be dumb to reject you”

i cant explain that everyone applying has my scores

and for some reason they think 30% admission rate means 100%…

oh well

haha alumium_boat.

So who’s gonna be on CC from 2:30 to 3:00 on the 11th? I have track but I might/don’t want to go, can’t wait till 5:30 to find out the decision! Till then I have Dec. SATs to worry about -_-

I really have no idea what I’ll be doing. I might chill with friends until a little before 3 to keep my mind distracted.

ugh I have newspaper production that entire week…itll be a way to keep my mind off things but it will indeed be stressful…

The last thing I want after spending hours after school and pulling all nighters during that week is to end it with a rejection…how fabulous would that be.

Not very =(

Don’t worry guys! We’ll all get in. :)

crosses fingers

That’s the week of finals for me…so either way I’m going to be exploding from school! I think I’m just going to have a heart attack every single day until then.

I have grad photo one day after decision day.

So if I get rejected, I’ll look rejected on my grad photo; if in the unlikely event that I get accepted…I’ll have a difficult time posing a contained smile.

ahhhhhhhhhh i am so stressed out
only like 11 days!!!

I wonder if they have made any decisions yet :S :S :S :S

^^^ if they have not yet… they have a lot of work left to do!!

Aren’t those with low SATs, less than 10% rank and no hook ruled out without a full reading? This would leave a lot less to go through manually. Except for legacies which I read somewhere will “guarantee that your application would be read.”
