anybody rethinking their desire for the UW due to the near-record rainfall? instaters wanna flee? OOSers can't take it? confess

Well, it's also been raining a lot in oregon lately so I've pretty much gotten used it.

welcome to life in the northwest..i'm used to lake effect snowfall in Ohio so compared to that this is quite mild.

Haha, I grew up in southern Orange County, CA -- it practically NEVER rained .. so I love it here =]
I'd love it even more if UW would just accept me!!

what is your strategy for enduring the waiting? do u plan to contact admissions? are u bracing yourself for a mar/apr decision? will u still accept UW if u hear from them on the late side? when is the housing stuff available, like, mar, right?

personally i dont mind the rain at all

i hate being hot....i'd much rather it be raining then it 80+ degrees out all the time

also it means more snow in the mountains which i like !

duh.....you live in the NW........you kind of have to like the rain

Just kidding. yea the rain gets a little old after awhile, but the weather is so nice the rest of the time...and its such a beautiful area. Couldn't imagine living anywhere else!

And it hasn't been raining all the time. Why, I saw a bit of blue sky only yesterday!

The rain is definitely getting old. I live on a lake and all of the docks are submerged under about 5 inches of water. Today was pretty dry where I live and there was even some sunny skies!! Although it is kind of dreary, all of the vegetation that I love wouldn't exist without the rain!
