Is a 28 on the ACT composite good enough to get me into:

UC San Diego
UC Santa Barbara
UC Irvine
Cal Poly SLO
SDSU
Cal Poly Pomona

My UC gpa is 3.57. I thought my ACT was pretty good until I came here....ha ha.

I actually visited UCSB a few weeks ago and recieved a pamphlet with most of the averages(probably made to intimidate others)…
UCSB’s ACT average is 27, but the gpa is around 4.0(weighted)
So i’m guessing you should probably have a lot of EC’s in order to make up for the gpa.

and your act is good, it’s your gpa -_-

sorry i can’t speak for the other schools.

yeah, I got a lot of B’s in my sophomore year and then I had a couple of classes that don’t count as A-G (one of them was Mojave River Conservationist, it was a really cool class but doesn’t count towards my UC gpa). I’m working on raising my Subject test scores to make up for the lower gpa and also trying to highlight my EC’s, but I’ll just have to see what happens. Thanks for the answer…:)
