My father tells me that if I dont slack off this semester (which I currently am doing), and instead get As, etc., that UCLA will take my effort into consideration and increase my financial aid. Now, Im coming to UCLA out of state, so this would be a big help, but Im not sure if UCLA really would give me more money. Can someone verify this for me please?

They check grades just for a minimum GPA, not for financial aid purposes.

Don't worry playa enjoy that last semester of senior year. I fondly remember those days of skipping school for A's baseball games, they don't care as long as its a 3.0. I think big papa is bs you and trying to motivate u my advice tell him your just saving your energy for UCLA and its rigorous academics

I understand the GPA minimum; my question was whether they would give me additional money if I do well second semester? my father is misinformed then...?

Financial aid is for need, not merit (to an extent). So no, I don't believe that it is ture.

one more verification, please?

go to fao.ucla.edu and call up the office to ask, if u don't believe us call the man himself playa
