my second semester grades aren't for sure but likely. i know second semester doesnt average to 3.0, its 2.67. do you think my admission will be revoked? by the way, i'm spring08 admit and am joining fpf in the fall.

Berkeley's Conditions of Admission:

Complete all senior-year courses listed on your application with an overall unweighted B average for each term and no grade lower than a C. Immediately notify us, in writing: if you did not meet the grade point average condition for any term of your senior year; or of any changes to your senior year class schedule.

So, I take it you should notify them in writing as soon as possible. I had a friend who got a D second semester in Calc, and UCLA made her take summer school to keep her admission. However, I don't know if Berkeley is willing to let you do the same. Talk to your Admissions Counselor. :)

I'm looking at the words "overall" and "average". It seems to me that the word "overall" would be superfluous if the intent was that each term the average had to be a minimum 3.0. Because your overall average, by taking all the grades both semesters, then dividing by 12 gives you over a 3.0 for each term. At least that's what I'd argue if there was any hint that they might revoke you!!!

I'm starting to feel that I'm the only idiot who actually is doing better my senior year than as a soph or junior!
