Maybe, they said that after you have so many college hours thay don't allow you to join the Business school. I would look in to the specific number of hours that is the thresh-hold

Three quick questions about econ...

What's the difference between Econ 310/320 and Econ 410/420 (for econ majors)?

Is econ what most of the business school rejects wind up doing?

Also, is it recommended to take micro than macro at UNC

I think the only thing that's limited is when you can join the business school. There's nothing anywhere about a threshold for hours.

The difference between the 300 and 400 level Econs is that the 400 level ones incorporate Calculus and are required for the Econ major. I've heard rumors that the B school likes them more (b/c they're harder) but seen nothing to substantiate it. If you want to have Econ as a back up, you should take the 400 ones.

Many people who don't get into KFBS end up doing Econ, but Management and Society is also popular (especially for the kids who took 300 level Econs and may not be as quantitativley adept). Despite that, the Econ dept at UNC is no joke. If you have a good GPA as an Econ major you'll have all the same opportunities a BSBA does (maybe just less of network and no prestigous brand name).

No, you don't need to take one 300/400 econ before the other.

Also, there seems to be some confusion about UNC's econ 101. Most universities break up introductory economics into two classes (micro and macro), UNC does it all in one semester. If you're coming from another school and have taken "micro and macro" it's likely introductory level and should give you credit for unc's econ 101, but you'll still have to take 310/410 and 320/420. Those are intermediate level classes.

Ok, Just a little advice please. Im attending Queens university of charlotte. I currently have a 3.72 gpa, i have a good amount of extracurricular activities and am fluent in German. I have taken the required 30 credit hours and i want to transfer to Chapel Hill next fall, how likely do you think it is that i`ll be accepted?

I think you have a good chance with your transfer GPA. Apply and see what happens.
