<p>I think a low reach puts you at least 1 (probably more like 1.3) standard deviation below the average admit, so that’s like <30% chance of admission. A high match is slightly above 1 std. dev. (so like .7, to keep it symmetric).</p>
<p>Yeah a 3.7 is very bad. You need to try harder. My 4.9 weighted is great</p>
<p>If I were you I wouldn’t say “Assume decent essay”. Looking at it to me, I think your essays will either make or break you for UCLA. Berkeley I think is still a reach (but it is for everyone). However, with strong enough essays, I’d say you could get into UCLA pretty safe.</p>
